They were totally in-active 100%, it would be rare to see more than 5 people playing at the same time. Matches were often empty, with long wait times. Staff members and friended players of mine can definitely back this up, as we all live in different time-zones, and log on multiple times a day.
Vertx is aware of which games have the most collective players, which I'm assuming that's why he puts Exp or Coin boosters on in-active game-modes weekly, or why builders continued adding more maps to those games. Probably to try and get players to go look at those.
Those games had been around for years, and despite coin/exp boosters, hosted game raids, new maps, etc. Popularity in those games just couldn't hold. I am assuming Vertx considered multiple factors before removing the game modes. Removing some were essential to keep the server up as a whole, and he wanted to keep the game-modes that had the biggest shot at bringing players again, seeing as they are newer and more popular already then Bow/Tag.
If you don't have a correct or near accurate percentage, I wouldn't give one. I'm not allowed to share what staff members can see, but we have tools to know what you are talking about, I can request to share a little snippet of something though, that I think you'd find pretty interesting.
My reply was not an opinion, everything I said was either factual, or an assumption that can be backed up by the logic/tools/and communication of the team.
Calling somebody's reply, especially somebody's who works at the server, and has communications with the Team, or the developer and owner's decisions to remove those modes, stupid does not make you sound confident, it makes you sound the opposite.

Anyways, I like the idea overall of voting on which game-modes come back, but I just don't think we are at the point where we can start adding multiple back. Hopefully in the future, I think that would be something fun.
