Private reports.

Private reports are only for snitches in my opinion if you're going to snitch atleast don't hide and do it

And another thing I believe that the person who got reported and even got banned in that case can request to see the proof of him getting banned, nowadays staff will even side with a minor player and agree to get that same player banned, that's how bad this server's community is and it's one of the worst no joke.

If private reports are allowed then the player banned should be able to request the proof of him/her getting banned.

I want to disagree, but I can't. Lol

I respect both sides of the debate on whether private reports should be allowed, but I really do think they should be allowed because maybe someone just prefers to report people privately for whatever reason or doesn't know how to make a thread.

Also, hate really hurts and if the reporter reported someone that would be controversial, they would receive comments that are hateful and that's just not cool and private reports would be great in scenarios like those which DO happen.

But the proof should at least be shown to everyone/the person who got banned. It's unfair for the person who got banned because they don't know what happened and how they got banned, that leads to them not being able to make a proper ban appeal and their appeal getting rejected.

Put it this way don't remove private reports but atleast let the person who got banned request the proof of their ban I mean who knows maybe staff can side with the private reporter in one case.

But the person whos banned could tell everyone who reported them then the reporter could still get hate

who tf cares abt haters
why should they gaf if they get alot of hate for reporting a high level whos famous? are they scared theyre gonna get hate for doing the right thing? Sami was brave enough to report me in public for my exessive bans and I respect it.
But they shouldnt be so worried for the amount of hate theyre gonna get for reporting a high level cause this is a damn game and when you grow up youll realize that u shouldnt bother ur haters who hurted you in the past.
as if ur gonna meet them irl and talk with them when u grow up. they arent a single benefit.
like i said, this is just a game. if someone hates on u, u shouldnt care or bother. rather ignore it since its not worth ur time.
I do, even if it's not directed towards me. Because from their bias opinion, they're the reason that the victim might be perm banned. Well, just because of one case of your example, didn't mean it will always stay that way, for instance look at Spike's case, and also not all people are as perfect as you. Some people take it seriously and they'll be damaged, and damage themself if they aren't that emotionally strong.

I would just like to give my opinion, again, on this topic. :p

Everyone who says, "Who cares about haters?" "So what if you get hate?" "It's just the internet." and more things along those lines, I have one question for you. Have you ever considered their feelings?
Think of it this way; you may be an emotionally tough cookie, but the reporter may not. In fact, the reporter may be an emotionally weak cookie. If they were to make a public report about this topic whilst being an emotionally weak cookie, they'd receive tons and tons of hate from the banned player's friends and friends that are considered family. Since they are not as emotionally strong as you, that can break them down and personally hurt them.
Yes, this is the internet, but don't forget that cyber-bullying exists. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean anything. Additionally, just because this "small moment in life won't even matter in the long run anyway," is sickening. Just because it's a small moment in life does not mean it's a moment at all. It is still a part of their lives.

Anyway, enough rambling. The basic idea of what I'm trying to say is that just because YOU don't care if you get hate if YOU were the one to report someone popular, does not mean that THEY, the person who actually reported them, won't get hurt. In other words, not everyone has the same mindset as you.

I would also like to give my opinion on the "at least show proof/evidence" argument.
Majority of games have your in-game-name on the screen. For example: The Murderer killed Diavent, Waneta killed Diavent, etc. If they were to release the proof, I would guarantee that there would be that one detective to align the screenshots/video (and perhaps skin if they had the time) gameplay with the chat to see who's video evidence that was. Additionally, they may have their evidence uploaded under their name. For example, if they were using YouTube as their video uploader for the evidence, everyone would clearly see their name for the evidence.

But its wouldnt be one person, itd be multiple, so that would be a lot of people to ignore. Why get a lot of hate and have to ignore a lot of people when you can avoid the hate all together?

You have two options right here

1) Use the /ignore button :)
2) Even so apologies are a thing :)

The person would still see the hate, and some people cant handle a lot of hate because they arent that emotionally strong. It could break a person in more ways than one.

If you know you're a soft hearted person or not as "emotionally strong" as others then don't report at all, I mean the banned person will eventually find out I mean atleast when I get private reported and banned I find the snitch eventually

And again I see the point you're trying to portray here :)

I dont think Just because someone isnt as emotionally strong doesnt mean they shouldnt report if they see a hacker.
Also if its a case like bullying, the bully could look up the report, see who reported them, and then just bully the person even more.

I see what youre saying too, and i agree its not fun to be false banned and not be able to see the evidence :(
