Private Reports

I mean, you can always make a ban appeal, that’s why they’re there. “If you believe this is a mistake” lol, I like private reports, it avoids “Tensions” between players, I would prefer a new report system which would stay Anonymous.
But on the flip side, i've seen people using the private reports to submit false evidence to try to get a leaderboard player banned. And seriously i've seen staff fall for their trick (and they eventually got unbanned after a long while). However when players put it up in the ban appeals section, there are others to review and make a fair decision about whether it was hacks or not...

I honestly still like the idea of Anonymous reporting, it would make the Brokenlens Forums much more organized. Especially having that system.

The way how I see it is that the reporter has the right to remain anonymous. It's really their say. They chose to report you and they chose to remain their identity a secret.
I never said anything about how the reporter shouldn’t stay anonymous. I’m just saying that I should be able to see the evidence that got me banned.

Although People have the right to see the evidence, which will be shown in the ban appeal they create!
What? I was told I couldn’t see my evidence because it was in a private report. Does that mean if I make a ban appeal I could see it? But if I ask in a convo I can’t?

Also, just to clarify I’m not against private reports. But to me it seems unfair that I can’t make a fair ban appeal because I can’t see the evidence that got me banned.
I agree with this. If you can't see what others saw you can't argue back or clarify the situation, which leads to an automatic lose in defending yourself.
yes this is 10/10 I’m proud of you darling

If the evidence shows obvious clues as to whom the person who reported you was, I don’t think we can show it.

I mean you can make one, we will tell you what happened in the evidence, but we won’t be able to show you if that’s the reason why. It’s pretty fair, as long as you know the reason you were banned.

It just seems like making a ban appeal without it would be a lot harder. Like I could say “I don’t target, I promise” (which would definitely not get me unbanned) but if I had evidence I could say something like “if you look at the photo you can obviously see the player kept teleporting to me”.

I have more than one screenshot against you, like you were targeting this player everyday.

To avoid banned players becoming salty and harassing the reporter
