Private Reports

If it’s a private report then the person most likely doesn’t wanna be known for doing it.

Depending on the case, then I could give the evidence and just block out a few things..but what happens when they find out who’s done it and bash them?
That’s the reason I rarely show people the evidence I have against them. :notworthy:
(If in a private conversation of course lol)

But still, you have to respect the fact they don’t wanna be known.
So we do as well, that’s another reason we sometimes can’t show it.
We can’t ban without enough evidence soo.. if you end up getting banned then we obviously have something against you, they could create a ban appeal and we’d tell them why.

So basically if the evidence reveals the reporter's identity.

In a private report the player reporting doesn't want his/her identity known but the evidence should not be private
The person being reported should have every right to see the evidence supporting thier punishment
The only time I think this should be ignored/monitored is if the evidence tells who the person reporting is such as a private message on server/forums
Then the person being reported doesn't have a right to see evidence

I would of provided evidence. I don't know then. I guess it depends on the staff member.
It shouldn’t depend on the staff member. If I would have went to you, I would have gotten the evidence, but I didn’t, so now I can’t see it. I also believe that that’s a problem.

If someone bashes someone over a report, isn’t that bullying? Being fearful of being “bashed” shouldn’t be a problem because bashing someone is basically bullying. I respect someone’s privacy but not for something that is as simple as targeting/teaming/hacking. If someone is actually targeting/teaming/bullying they should be the one being upset not the reporter.

Yeah but it happens and no one really does anything about it even if it is bullying

The way how I see it is that the reporter has the right to remain anonymous. It's really their say. They chose to report you and they chose to remain their identity a secret.

Hey, it’s me and I’m complaining again :). So, I’ve been banned 3 times and all 3 times were in private reports. Private reports are in private conversations or in private dm’s if you don’t know btw. So, I think it’s unfair and not right that people can’t see the evidence that shows why they’re banned because it’s in a private report. I mean, it THEIR report. The person who’s been reported should be able to at least see the evidence that they have been banned with if they want too. The person who’s been banned should have a fair opportunity to make a ban appeal but they can’t cuz they can’t even see the evidence. Also, I just don’t understand why people would make private reports (unless like bullying/harassment). Can’t they just make the report in player reports? I mean I feel like it would be easier for staff to have all the reports in one area.

Sorry for the rant lol I’m not usually this intense hehe ILY DARLINGS
I agree with this. If you can't see what others saw you can't argue back or clarify the situation, which leads to an automatic lose in defending yourself.

I mean, you can always make a ban appeal, that’s why they’re there. “If you believe this is a mistake” lol, I like private reports, it avoids “Tensions” between players, I would prefer a new report system which would stay Anonymous.

Although People have the right to see the evidence, which will be shown in the ban appeal they create!
