#PrayForRaven UPDATE

I take care of two stray cats. They visit my patio and I feed them every night. However, a few days ago one of them came back with a horrible wound on his jaw. Its too big to be from a cat fight. He may have been attacked by a dog or kicked by a person. I've been spraying it with hydrogen peroxide as much as I can to keep the infection out. However, he keeps scratching it which can make it worse. It will be difficult to foster him indoors because he will fight with the other cats, plus it will be nearly impossible to catch him. I can't take him to thr vet because we have a crappy vet where I live and they'll just euthanize him because he is a stray. If he dies, I dont know what I will do. I may never come back.

It's hard to say goodbye, so don't. Just keep going with the Hydrogen peroxide on his wound, hopefully it will work. Otherwise the doctor will not always put them down, I have a stray kitten who I tamed, It will work out buddy.

We bought coconut oil to rub into his wound. The oil will help it heal faster and numb any pain or itching. As I was applying it, I noticed that the wound had begun to scab over, which is good. However, Raven may get a fever, so I will need ro refill the water daily.

So far, no sign of infection. However, the wound hasn't scabbed over yet. We will be buying medication for him. Raven shows no symptons of illness and is still very active (and lovey!)
Oml. Raven scratched his wound and got scab gunk all over the cat bed and pillows. He is bleeding again. X_X
Well I might have to put him in a cat sweater or a sock so he can't reach it. xD

I went to Pizza Hut with my family last night. I was eating my pizza and a stray cat came up to me and glared at me with its big cat eyes I felt pity for him and threw a chunk of meat at him. He jumped and accidentally scratched my finger. hope my finger doesn’t get infected

You most likely won't be infected. If the cat was not sick, then you should be fine.

The wound is beginning to scab over again. I have also discovered smaller scabs on him, and I rubbed some oil on them just to be safe. If he keeps scratching the wound, I might have no choice but to put a sweater on him. xD

Good news! Raven's wound is significantly smaller and has completely scabbed over.
However, he has a fever, but it's not life-threatening. He drinks a lot a water and has a runny nose. I also noticed some possible skin infenctions (ringworm? I don't know, because it's highly contagious yet nobody has been infected, especially the other stray cat) but I have some safe, non-toxic medicine for that. Again, it's a spray bottle yet he acts like it's a gun! It's quite difficult trying to spray him, but he doesn't scratch. He's a very domestic, passive cat, which worries me that he may be abandoned.

So... it turns out Raven has a really tough mass on the side of his lower abdomen. I noticed this while feeling around while he was sitting on my lap. (This makes me sad that he's so calm and sweet that he may be abandoned). I did some research and it turns out the mass is most likely a lipoma, like a clump of fatty tissue. It's a type of tumor, but it is not cancerous and doesn't need surgery unless it keeps him from walking easily. I will keep an eye on him. By the way, his scab is almost done healing, so that's one good thing.

Good news! The wound has completely finished healing and his fur is growing back. He does have some scabs on his ear, but that's an easy fix. He also has kind of a cold or a hairball, but again, easy fixes. The only thing I'm worried about is the possible lipoma on the lower left side of his underbelly, but I think there is a possibility that I can take him to a vet out of town, if I save up enough money. And look! He's purring in the bed, and Skittles is there, too! She's even nuzzling him! Awww, how sweet!
