More Helpers Needed?

.......and they don't necessarily want to be helpers.Yes, they would be able to ban people in games that they are in but they probably wouldn't want to be pulled all over the place to help everyone.

We’re fully aware of the amount of rule breakers which are in the server, especially with the amount of forums or /reports we get.

But you guys do know, it’s not that simple right? We can’t just look at someone that sends in a few reports or answers 2-3 questions and automatically think they’re ‘good enough’ to become a staff. :notworthy:

Also, even if we got a bunch of new helpers, not that much would change. (Until they’d be promoted at least) They have super limited perms and can only ban 0-7 days, they can’t mute either.

Yeah, I used to think being a staff member would be pretty simple, but I've realized its not, I joined the forums with some vague idea that I wanted helper, but as time went on, I realized that there is more to it than banning and muting mean players. :p It's a big responsibility

I understand all this. I was just hoping for a solution that didn't overwhelm the helpers BL already has.

Only 7 ban only and we can't mute?

Or we can only ban and mute for 7 times?

nope, none of that! I said helpers can only ban up to 7 days, they simply can’t permanently ban or ban users for longer than 7 days.

Although, they could always get another staff member to change their ban periods to whichever one they’d like, helpers can’t mute though. Only trials+ can, helpers can simply ask another staff to mute someone for them though. ^w^

They can only ban for 7 days, kick users on the server and give warning points using the admin panel. (There’s obviously a few more perms they have on the forums / server, but I was mainly explaining those few.)

I think we have enough helpers. The problem in my opinion is that some of the higher ranked staff (moderators) aren't very active. Pineapple death is the only active moderator I've seen. Same goes for helpers. I've only seen a few active other than myself. And considering I can't even help with reports you speak of, this is just a recipie for disaster. It's not my call, but my suggestion is maybe recruiting 1 or 2 more active helpers and that's it.

Ssun, Edw, Marco and Maddie have been on and been helpful. I think it's just that in the time zone I'm in noone is on much. I see them there more in the mornings (for me) but nobody to speak of when I play at night which is when I play the most. :3

You won’t be notified or send you an alert that wether you got accepted on your application or denied. The ‘Helper’ rank would be simply putted on your BrokenLens account, you’ll also see a gray banner on your profile that says ‘Helper.’ It looks like this :

You’ll also receive a bunch of message that congratulates you for being a Helper.

Yeah we do need helpers nowadays. With more helpers, There will be a higher chance of more players being promoted, the more they gain access to more sophisticated and much effective commands. I would rather recommend this

Also, there must be an end to the helper application. There should be a specific date. What if 2019 you where not helper. Then you quitted minecraft at 2020 and recieved the notification at 2021. I think thats the reason for absent helpers
