Monjy Oneshot. ;)

"...so yeah. That's the story. I don't get it, Mongi and Cheesy make a good pair, so I really don't—" Benjy was cut off by Lauren suggesting something he really didn't like.

"Maybe you're gay." Lauren picked up another cookie and ate it, loving the crunchy sound it made. When she saw Benjy looking at her in disgust, she shook her head and sighed.

"My God, Benjy. Being gay isn't that bad. In fact, there's nothing wrong with it. Love is love. Gay pride. Really, it's not like being gay is a crime. Plus, you can't control the sexuality you're born with, anyway. Also I personally find normal-looking gays very lucky, the hottest guys are always gay," Lauren said. Benjy nodded and chewed on his watermelon. But when the last sentence Lauren said registered in his mind, he laughed.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. But still, so many people hate gays—" Lauren interrupted Benjy with a head shake.

"Benjy, who gives a f*** about what other people think? I don't, and you shouldn't, either. Being gay means being proud, you got that? No matter if everyone hates you, you'll always have me, and I'm going to support you all, the way. Oh yeah by the way, be thankful you're gay. It makes you special, and it removes the rule that men HAVE to love women." Lauren smiled. Benjy grinned into her cup of coffee.

"Thanks."

The next morning, Benjy woke up to find Lauren lounging on the couch, once again flipping through the TV channels. "Oh my God Lauren how many times must I tell you, STOP WATCHING TV!!" Benjy yelled. Lauren rolled her eyes.

"I'll pay you back I promise just gimme time k," Lauren muttered, making Benjy roll his eyes.

"Whatever you say. But if you don't I'm gonna f***ing sue you," Benjy said. He grabbed his red jacket and looked at himself in the mirror by the front door. He was wearing a white t-shirt which said, "I'm a Sarcastic A-hole and Proud" with gray jeans and purple converses. His hair was like a hurricane - it sprouted everywhere.

"You should either shave your hair or actually comb it," Lauren said without turning around, as if she had eyes behind her head. Benjy held back another eye roll and said, "You're the one who said guys with messy hair look cute."

"Yeah, well, you don't unfortunately. Maybe that logic just doesn't apply to you," Lauren shrugged. Benjy glared at her before grabbing a nearby comb and taming his hair just a bit. Then he put the comb back down, threw on his jacket, and walked out the house. Behind him he could hear Lauren say, "Good luck, lil ♥♥♥♥."

Benjy texted Mongi, telling him to go to the park they'd visit frequently as children, before hopping into his car and driving straight there. He arrived much earlier than Mongi, he knew Mongi liked to sleep in on Saturdays. Benjy sat on a bench and pulled out his iPod and earphones, turning on one of his favourite playlists before closing his eyes and drifting away - from the world.

After a while, Mongi arrived. He shook Benjy, who'd accidentally fallen asleep. "Sorry..." Benjy mumbled, rubbing his eyes. Mongi shrugged, sitting beside him.

"It's fine, so, why'd you call me here?" Mongi took one of Benjy's earphones and plugged it into his own ear. "Also, ew, Justin Bieber is awful."

Benjy flushed. He knew Mongi would do that all the time, grab his earphone and plug it into his own ear, but now it felt a bit weird. "I'm gay," Benjy blurted. Mongi nodded. Benjy gulped. "And I, um... I kind of like you?"

"Wait, what?" Mongi turned to look at Benjy, who was taking deep breath and trying to calm his blush.

"I said, I like you," Benjy mumbled. Mongi shook his head.

"No way. I'm dreaming, right? Yep, I'm definitely dreaming. Pinch me please, I'd like to wake up," Mongi pinched himself lightly. "Come on..." Mongi pinched himself harder, but that just made him yelp in pain. "OW! Wait, so this isn't a dream? You actually like me?" Mongi blurted all of it so quickly Benjy barely caught all the words.

"Yes. I like you. And it's okay if you find that weird, or you never want to talk to me again, or something—"

"No! No no no, Benjy, who put that in your mind? I'm fine with you being gay and liking me, it's just... I'm bisexual and I might just like you too," Mongi said. He looked away, blushing deeply.

"Wait wot." Benjy looked at Mongi, who signed and, using both his hands, grabbed Benjy's face and stared into his eyes.

"I like you too," Mongi whispered. His lips met Benjy's, and he melted into the kiss. It felt like the type of kiss which is good yet surprising, the type you could only ever have once in a lifetime.

The moment was broken, however, when someone shouted, "Hey! You're a cute couple, you should be proud of being able to have found one another!" Mongi and Benjy immediately looked away, both blushing.

"T-Thanks..." Benjy managed to muttered, although the person was long gone. Mongi smiled. "I love you, too."

Now Benjy sat at that exact same bench, with the exact same person, only this time they weren't happy - they were a puddle of tears. But Benjy remembered all those words people had told them, the support, the hate, all of them. They made Benjy realise that it was okay. It was okay that his parents didn't support him; there were millions of others who did - and even more who'd been through the exact same situation.

Benjy stopped crying and wiped away his tears, then he pulled Mongi away from his chest. "Shh, it's okay. It's okay. It doesn't matter what our parents think, all that matters is what we feel for each other. We'll get through this together, no matter how hard, and in the end we'll show them that being gay isn't bad," Benjy whispered. He wiped away Mongi's tears and looked into his teary eyes. "It's okay," Benjy whispered one last time.

Then he kissed Mongi.
