Mongi stared at Benjy's mess of a room, shaking his head. "Benjy, I'm not sleeping in a place in which I have no idea where the floor is. Just... No. It's too dangerous," Mongi said. He walked over to the guest room, where Lauren had claimed as her room.

"Considering the guest room is the only other room besides the living room and basement, I think I'll crash with Lauren for a while. At least until you clean up your room." Mongi knocked on the door before walking in. He closed the door behind him, but Lauren pulled it open slightly to give Benjy a questioning look, before stalking back into the room.

Benjy turned back to his room. It wasn't that messy, just a ton of random possibly dangerous items lying on the ground. Benjy sighed. It was a mess. He started picking up everything when suddenly, he was pushed into a pile of clothes. He got up and glared at the culprit.

"Seriously? Where did you even come from?" Benjy looked down at the furry dog at his feet. A pair of arms appeared and picked up the pup. It was Mongi.

"Sorry. I hope you don't mind but when my parents kicked me out, they kicked out Wuufles too." Mongi pet the dog's head and got a friendly bark in return. He smiled at Benjy before promising to keep Wuufles in the guest room, then, while cooing at the pup, exited the room. Benjy shook his head and went back to spring cleaning even though it wasn't even Spring. He never understood that statement anyway.

After about an hour, Lauren called Benjy downstairs for dinner. As he walked down the stairs, Benjy could just barely see the light of the television. He shouted at Lauren. "What did I tell you about watching TV?!"

Benjy jumped down the last few steps before running to switch off the TV. He glared at Lauren, who simply got up to get a book to read, leaving the lasagna on the table. Benjy looked around for Mongi but couldn't see him. He called out, but was only answered by a cheerful string of woofs and laughter.

"God what is Mongi doing with that dog? Is he..." Benjy stifled a laugh before going upstairs to call Mongi to eat. When he knocked on the door, he also asked if Mongi was doing what he thought he was doing.

The door slammed open and Mongi screamed at Benjy. "NO. WHAT THE HELL. NO NO NOOOOOO. THAT'S WORST THAN, UM... COFFEE WITHOUT SUGAR. EW."

"I'm sorry but you sounded like you were—" Benjy was shut up by Mongi stomping out of the room, to the kitchen. "I'm sorry, okay?" Benjy half shouted, half laughed.

Downstairs, Lauren was trying to get Mongi to tell her why he and Benjy were yelling. Unfortunately, Mongi's mouth was zipped. Benjy, on the other hand, told the whole story, laughing in between sentences. Lauren tried to stifle her laughter but she failed quite miserably. Mongi mumbled something like, "It's not funny," but was ignored.

After Benjy was done with the dishes, he shut off the TV for the fourth time that day with a "Are you deaf or something?" before taking a hesitant Mongi's hand and leading him to his room.

"Mongi, I was invited to a party. They said I could bring someone, and I wanted you to come. Please?" Benjy said. Mongi flopped onto his bed and thought for a moment.

"What kind of party?" asked Mongi. Benjy shrugged.

"Just a party. Like, a highschool party I guess? Although it is for Halloween."

"Is there alcohol?"

"Yes."

"No." Mongi sat up and looked at Benjy. "Neither are you. I'm not dating an alcoholic, thanks."

"Where'd that idea sprout from?" Benjy lay on the bed, looking up at his ceiling. He'd thought about painting something, like the night sky, on it so he could admire it while he drifted off to sleep, but it never happened. Mongi rolled his eyes at him, as if he could sense what stupidity Benjy was thinking of.

"You're going to a highschool party with alcohol. You are 19. Safe to assume you interest in alcohol like all normal teens." Mongi lay next to Benjy and grabbed his hand, lightly squeezing it in a gesture of trust. "If you go, promise me you won't drink any alcohol."

Benjy paused. Could he? He hadn't had much, but on the few occasions he had, he'd loved the hot, sour taste of the stuff. It burned in his throat and made him feel warmth. Beside him, Mongi lay in sad silence, already knowing the answer.

The next day, Benjy awoke in the same position he'd been in last night. He remembered talking to Mongi about going to the party, but he couldn't remember anything else, much less falling asleep. He looked beside him, but didn't see Mongi. Maybe he'd left.

Benjy picked a crinkled shirt and a pair of jeans from his closet before heading to the bathroom for a shower to, as Lauren would say, awaken his mind. After that, Benjy skipped down the stairs to find Mongi and get something to eat.

He was very much surprised when he saw Cheesy lounging on the couch eating ice cream from...

"HEY!!" Benjy yelled, snatching the tub of ice cream from Cheesy, who glared right back at him.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Cheesy growled menacingly. Benjy feared for his life but still held his ground.

"I am taking back what is rightfully mine. I payed for this ice cream," Benjy stated. "Anyway, what are you doing in my house?"

Cheesy stared at the tub of ice cream while answering, "Lauren invited me here. Not sure why, but she did." She outstretched her hands and beckoned for Benjy to give her the ice cream. Benjy sighed and handed it to her. All of it was pretty much melted, anyway. But Cheesy still smiled and continued eating.

After a while, Lauren appeared at the foot of the stairs. She was startled by Cheesy's presence. "Is it already 12 p.m.?" she asked, sitting on the couch and taking a piece of fruit from the fruit bowl on the table.

"Correction: it's 2 p.m.," Cheesy said lazily, staring at her phone screen. Lauren shook her head, when suddenly she noticed Mongi wasn't present.

"Hey, where's Mongi?" Lauren looked towards Benjy for an answer, but just got a shrug and an "I don't know."

"Strange. He must've gone to work or something, assuming he has a job. Anyway, Benjy, you're going to Zach's party tonight, right? Cheesy wanted to tag along. She wasn't invited, but she needs Zacole pictures. For the shipping shrine, y'know?" Lauren said, picking an orange and struggling to open it.

"Yeah, sure. Zach did say I could bring along some friends," Benjy said. He grabbed the TV remote before Cheesy could, and then left to conceal it in his room. But before that, he said, "7 p.m. sharp. After that, I'm leaving, with or without you."

Cheesy turned to Lauren to ask about the remote thing. "He's paranoid about the electricity bills," was all Lauren said. Although, that probably was true. Cheesy offered to help her open the orange instead, but Lauren declined, putting it back and taking a slice of melon.

For the rest of the day, Cheesy stayed at Benjy's, only leaving once to change into a costume for the party, but coming back right after. While she was there, she and Lauren watched random cartoons on Lauren's iPad while arguing about who was better, Spongebob from, well, Spongebob, or Twilight from MLP. Cheesy personally liked Spongebob much better.

Benjy, however, spent his day at the local theme park, constantly getting bombarded by fans of his YouTube channel. He'd done a face reveal when he hit 10K subs, but now he was starting to regret it.

As 7 o' clock came by, Mongi was still nowhere to be seen. Benjy had texted him a few times, asking where he was, but no reply. In fact, they were all unread. Benjy started getting worried, although Cheesy kept reassuring him that Mongi's most likely fine.

"He's a good fighter, he'll be fine. Plus, his work schedule is f***ed up anyway, so I wouldn't find it strange if he was working late today," Cheesy waved it off like it was nothing. But to Benjy, it was worrying. The fact that Mongi hadn't bothered to even read his texts was suspicious.

As Cheesy shoved Benjy into the car, demanding to be taken to Zach's party, he sighed. Cheesy was probably right, and he was probably overthinking everything. Benjy started the engine of his car, but looked back at Cheesy for a moment. She was staring at her phone screen. She looked so calm, it was surprising. Maybe she knew mongi better than him.

Benjy shook the thought off. No, he knew mongi much better than Cheesy did. But still, the thought lingered in his mind while he drove to Zach's place, the only sound emmiting from inside the car coming from the radio.

"Oi, we're here," Benjy said as he pushed open the car door and looked at Zach's palace of a home. It wasn't that grand, really. But the decor made it look like a freaking castle for the undead. At the doorway, a male figure was waving at Benjy and Cheesy. Benjy couldn't tell who it was because they were dressed up, but Cheesy immediately recognised him.

"Oh, Ray, hi! Didn't know you were coming," Cheesy said, walking up to the front porch. "You look like a ♥♥♥♥ of a pirate. No offence."

"And you look like the ugliest... Wait, what are you?" Ray asked, not noticing as Benjy walked around him, into the house. Of course, Cheesy saw him. She took a second to register that Ray had said something.

"Oh, uh, I'm a unicorn," Cheesy pointed to the horn on the onesie she was wearing. "Anyway, I gotta go find someone, you can uh, stay here. Or whatever." Cheesy quickly rushed into the house, scouring the place for Benjy. She spotted him sitting by the dining table, chatting with Ash.

"Perfect," Cheesy whispered. She walked over to the back door and looked out the window at a bush, where Strelitzia was supposed to be waiting with Mongi. "Where is she?" Cheesy mumbled, pushing open the door annd walking out. Suddenly, she saw a glint of orangey-red near the forest behind Zach's house.

Quietly, Cheesy walked over to where she'd seen the orange-red colour. There, Strel and Mongi were waiting silently, Mongi's mouth taped tightly shut. They were hiding behind a tree and some bushes. Cheesy smiled and gave Strel a thumbs up, and Strel went back to the house. She peered inside, making sure the coast was clear, before slinking stealthily inside, disappearing from sight.

Cheesy carefully removed the tape, putting a finger to her lips to signal silence. Mongi glared at her.

"What do you want?" Mongi asked quietly. He was crouched beside Cheesy, and looking at the window beside the door. They were positioned in such a way that they were concealed by shrubbery so anyone inside couldn't see them, but they could see inside rather clearly.

"You aren't going to question the fact Strel and I basically kidnapped you?" Cheesy looked at Mongi, wondering how his brain functioned. Mongi shrugged, leaning onto the tree so he could look up at the star studded sky.

"Not really. I've known you for a long time, I just assumed the tape was precautions to stop me from saying anything," said Mongi. Cheesy shook her head at him, and facepalmed at his idiocy.

"Didn't your parents ever teach you about what someone taping your mouth means? Actually, nevermind, they probably didn't. Anyway, to answer your earlier question, we are here to see how loyal Benjy really is to you," Cheesy grinned. Mongi rolled his eyes.

"The answer is pretty obvious, Cheesy, but whatever you say."

After around half an hour, Strel appeared in the window, along with Benjy, who looked like the drunkest person Mongi'd ever seen. But then again, Mongi had never seen someone drunk before, so he could only guess.

Mongi and Cheesy looked on as Benjy and Strel seemingly flirted with one another. They couldn't really tell, since they couldn't hear what Benjy and Strel were saying. Then, Benjy lowered his head to whisper something in Strel's ear, before smiling at her, and eliminating the distance between them.

Mongi stared in frozen horror as he witnessed Benjy kiss Strel - and enjoy it. Mongi looked away, quickly wiping away stray tears that hadn't listened to him and dripped from his eyes.

Cheesy nudged Mongi, showing him some sort of small device. "Strel has a detector on her, so we can listen to their conversation," Cheesy said. Mongi curled himself into a ball, his visioned blurry from more tears but still able to barely just see what was going on behind the window. He widened his eyes as he listened to what Benjy and Strel were saying.

"You know, Mongi's watching this whole thing unfold." Strel.

"Who's that?" ...Benjy.

"Okay, can we agree that drunk Benjy trying to sound sexy sounds like the most funniest thing ever?" Cheesy tried to hold back her laughter, and she did successfully, but her lips still curled into a smile. So did Mongi, althought he let out a soft laugh.

"Yeah, we can. Anyway, can we go now? To, um, anywhere you want I guess. I don't know," Mongi mumbled. Cheesy nodded.

"Sure, I'll send you back to Benjy's place? It should be fine, he won't be there when we get back so... Yeah. I can come pick you up tomorrow, and you can crash with me for a bit." Cheesy's voice sounded so soothing for some reason, and Mongi wasn't in the mood to argue, so he just nodded.

"Come on." Cheesy lead Mongi out the forest, to where Strel had parked her BMW, but then Mongi remembered that a car needs keys to start.

"Do you have the-"

"Car keys? Yeah, Strel gave them to me before she went," Cheesy started up the car, and Mongi got into the backseat. The ride was silent and peaceful, and Mongi just stared at the night sky for the duration of it.

As they got back to Benjy's place, they saw the light of the living room was on, and the sound of the television was audible, although only slightly. Mongi walked up the front steps and barged into the place, ignoring Lauren when she asked where he'd been. He went up the stairs to the guest room and flopped onto his bed, leaving Cheesy to explain what happened to Lauren.

A while later, Mongi heard the front door creak open then shut quietly, and footsteps coming upstairs. Cheesy must've left already. Mongi had buried his head in his pillow and his body beneath the duvet when Lauren came in.

"Cheesy told me what happened. You probably want to be left alone, and I'm okay with that for now. I'll be packing your stuff for you, so just speak up if you wanna talk," Lauren said. Her voice sounded unsure, but Mongi still heard her feet shuffle across the floorboards as she gathered the stuff he'd left lying around.

"You don't have to, if you don't want to," he said. He looked at Lauren, who'd dumped his stuff by the closet, and was crouching beside it, looking for his luggage bag she'd put in the closet. Her head poked out for a moment, and she looked relieved.

"Thank the lord. I'm tired as ♥♥♥♥, so I'll just leave this here for now." Lauren got up and dropped onto her bed. Instead of getting under the duvet, she wrapped it around her, so she looked like she was a caterpillar in a cocoon.

"Benjy kissed Strel," Mongi said. He still couldn't believe it - nor what Benjy had said. Lauren sighed, and looked at Mongi straight in the eye.

"He was drunk, right? I want you to know, he used to like Strel. It's posible the alcohol took him back to that time, when you were just his best friend, and Strel was who he liked," Lauren said. Mongi nodded slowly.

"Okay. But still, he asked who I was. He should at least know that," Mongi mumbled, choking on another flow of tears. Lauren looked down at her feet, which she used to kick at another pillow.

"Stress," muttered Lauren. "When you're stressed, you rush. When you rush, you make more mistakes. Making mistakes make you feel bad. Feeling bad hurts. When you're hurt, all you want is something to distract you, something that will take your mind elsewhere."

"What?" Mongi asked. He hadn't heard half of what Lauren had said. She repeated it louder, and while Mongi did understand what she meant, it still made him upset that Benjy had straight up forgotten him.

"Anyways, I'm going to sleep. I have stuff to do in the morning. G'night," Lauren yawned, before closing her eyes and falling asleep. Mongi stared at his stuff that she'd dumped by the closet, before getting up and going over to it.

Carefully and quietly, Mongi opened the closet and got out his bag. He took his clothes (which all triggered Benjy-filled memories) and folded them neatly, before setting them in the bag. Then he grabbed his laptop. He shut it off before sliding it into its case and set it above his clothes. He took his iPhone and chargers and stuffed them into a smaller bag, which he put into a side pocket.

Mongi glanced up at the clock. 3 a.m. Mongi zipped the zip shut tightly, before getting up and going to the bathroom with a fresh set of clothes he hadn't packed. He took a shower and changed. Then he took the clothes he was wearing before and folded them, before dumping them into his bag.

At a quarter to 4 a.m., Mongi slid under the duvet with a framed photo of him and Benjy. He stared at it, tears flowing like a God damned river, until he fell asleep. He never heard the sounds of someone stumbling into the house in a drunken haze, the sound of them slowly climbing up the stairs, or the sound of them slipping and falling from the stairs, crashing their head into the handrail.

Mongi awoke to the sound of sirens right outside the house, and footsteps running around the place. He got up and peeked out the doorway. There, he saw Lauren talking to two policemen. She looked like she'd been crying.

After the two policemen left, Mongi walked over to Lauren. He tapped on her shoulder, surprising her.

"What happened? Why are police here?" Mongi asked. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted some people in white uniforms as well, taking away a figure on a stretcher. Mongi caught sight of the figure's messy hair and basketball jacket and knew exactly who it was.

Mongi covered his mouth as he choked on overflowing tears. Lauren just looked away and confirmed his fears.

"Benjy tripped and hit his head. He was unconscious when I found him lying in a pool of his own blood."
