Everything Wrong with BRLNS Skywars

Before you start hating, hear me out on these things and please think about what I am proposing.

Part 1: Maps

Most maps on BrokenLens amazing, some of my favorites are Paris, Ruined Kingdom, Tree, Music, Mushroom, Sunny, etc. However there are a few ones that I don't find awful, I find GOD AWFUL.

First map: Station. This map is just really boring. It looks really bland and a lot of the time if you don't get any good things in your chests (which I will talk about later) you will end up with a wooden or stone sword the whole game, even if you go to the middle.

Second map: Mario. I have a few problems with this map. First of all, one chest is problematic, it's very much luck based and it is quite annoying. Also this map doesn't have a crafting table, making it really annoying if you got to craft something quickly. The middle isn't horrible and is better than other maps, but it isn't perfect. Even with so many chests it's kinda annoy to break tons of green wool, especially if your in a fight.

Third Map (by far the worst): Modern. This map is just really bad all the way through. First of all, only one chest, always a dealbreaker. But as you play this map more you start to realize how annoying it is. The spiral staircase seems like a good idea, but it is executed very badly. It is nearly impossible to engage in an actual melee fight, as you will just end up getting hit off the small little island in one hit. The middle is also quite annoying. I for one dislike small middles because they are difficult to Enderpearl to. This map is the lowest of the low in my opinion.

How to fix: Remove the maps and replace them with great maps like the ones I mentioned before.

Part 2: Kits

When I learned that BrokenLens had kits, I was very excited. However, I was disappointed in the long run. The point of kits are to start you out with weapons or armour just in case you wanna rush or you are attacked however some of the kits are overpowered because they are literally almost impossible to get in game. Here are two kits I have problems with.

Kit 1: Archer. This kit is really annoying. The fact that you can only get arrows from this kit and not ingame really annoys me. A kit should be a starter for items you can actually practically get. Even if you buy a bow, you have to collect arrows by picking up already shot ones which is just impractical.

Solution: Add bows and arrows to the regular chests.

Kit 2: TNT. Wow this kit is more god awful than the Archer kit. First of all, TNT is practically impossible to obtain in game. You have to get on the map castle, make it to middle without dying, get the TNT and a redstone torch and by that time you can just melee the last remaining 1 to 2 players. Not to mention how annoying it is to be underground mining because you didn't get a decent weapon and some TNT KIT comes and blows up your island with ease.

Solution: Remove TNT kit.

Part 3: Chests

This part is talking about the chests, specifically the items they contain. At first chests look balanced and fair, but you are very wrong. Half the time you get a diamond armour and a diamond sword, the other time you get leather armour and no decent weapon. This makes players either overpowered or underpowered. The chests need to be balanced out so everyone gets a decent weapon and decent armour. Look at Hypixel on Java edition, they have well balanced chests in all modes. I think it would be beneficial for BrokenLens to do similar things.

Solution: Balance chests

Part 4: Small things

Here is a quick list of small things I believe should be changed.

-Hitting someone into the void counts as a kill.

-Enderpearl cooldown lowered.

-More food (you use it to gain health soooooo)

-Bigger middles

Conclusion:

So guys I hope you enjoyed this mini essay type thing explaining what I think should be improved in Skywars. I hope that the staff team might hear me out on a couple of ideas. Skywars is the game I play most and I believe that these changes would benefit the game and the community.

I agree with you with the items but... I suggest the builders/staff team not remove the maps, because there isn't really much wrong about them (and the builders work super hard to build the wonderful maps). If you get knocked off the island, that's your problem for not paying attention. (I'm not hating, so please not hate on me xD) By the way, if you don't have a crafting table, just try to find some oak wood, to make one yourself!

Suggestions like these can only be input by the owner or the developer, as they change the game mechanics and how they work. Plus,vertx does most of the coding
When i say needed, i mean when the suggestion is really good and most people agree with the sugestion

I agree with you with the items but... Builders came in about start of 2017
But before then, thr maps were downloaded.

Tbh i wouldnt know if thr mapd were downloaded or not on sw because the server was always full, but i assume they were downloaded because modt are for mm, sg, oitc etc

I actually like station. I usually get good stuff on it, i also like the fights at mid. Its also fun when u dont get as good stuff. It forces u to play strategically. Ive gotten crap before and still won. Just gotta be creative.

ye i agree this map is annoying, altho not for the reasons youve stated.

I dislike it becuz some ppl just camp at the bottom of the waterfall things. And you cant freakin get to them without dying in the process (especially if they wall themselves in)

i like this map. Its different than the others and makes you play differently than straight out pvp. Also this map is ez af to pearl on. Just aim for the tree

lmao just learn how to counter it or craft arrows urself. Its not that hard to craft them.

You are one of those dudes who use Buster kit and like big maps and do not like to get knocked off, and prefer maps with a ton of starting chests like Medieval and want iron armor straight away since the start.

Maps:
Modern is a disgrace to other modern builders. The mid is so ugly, I feel ashamed of building modern stuff
Mario has a tiny staircase, which sucks
Nether has no water and no buckets, what is the lava for???
Station: Is this map from the 17th century? Where is the high speed trains and stuff?
For archer kit:
If bows and arrows spawn in chests, why should I buy the kit? Spawn only arrows in chests. If you want to spawn both, buff the archer kit.

Dude u still craft lol ........... U just gonna have dem kits mate kits r important ........players dont give up just because there is a guy with bows and arrows or tnt means it will garanteee u they will win. Archer kits has dis advantages like... can they fight with melee?...they use the archer kits because of lack of pvp.. and creeper kit has disadvanteges like they blow the guys up but boom it also blows them up .......... Maps are great any maps have every characteristics somer are ugly some are great...the ugly ones not every one hates it i bet theres some people who also likes the map u hate and the only thing i agree on is throwing off the void counts as a kill i really agree on that.

They should edit station, it is fun but bland, and Mario should get another chest, anddddd idk about modern maybe a big upgrade?

But why the station is the worst one?
I bet most people likes station map and its pretty good for pvp due the fact that you dont fall that much.
EP is already lowered to 45 secs.
Next is why archer and creeper kit..
They are the one who can kill buster and funny kits (creeper kit)
And the chests are already balanced (if not use void instead killing someone)
