Nice writing, but maybe watch out for your punctuation and sometimes your tense and POV. At one point you switched to first person for a sentence, and you switched to present tense a couple times. Still, it's good Phoe ^_^ Can't wait for the next part

Okay, I've never actually heard the terms 'finite verb' or 'nonfinite verb...'

I Googled it and from what I'm understanding (I could be completely wrong) the finite verb in that sentence is "is." "Eat" would be nonfinite in that sentence.
I guess that the verb that is actually being conjugated in either the present or past tense is the finite one, and the one that's an infinite (to do), gerund (doing), or past participle (to have done) is nonfinite?
Or it could probably be said that the one that isn't really happening is nonfinite, maybe? In that sentence, eating isn't actually happening, so that's nonfinite.

Again, that's what I understood from a two minute Google search, it's likely completely wrong.
