Add pickaxe can’t open chest?

I got this idea from BloodLustRC so shoutout to him. While have it axes or swords not opening chest, furnaces etc same thing with axes so why not all weapons.

I mean I prefer a diamond pic over a wooden sword but I wouldn’t take any other type of pic over a wooden sword so idk it’s just a idea

I don't agree. The pickaxes was made as a tool for mining not as a weapon unlike axes and swords. They were added with the intended purpose of mining faster in game and I think it shouldn't be used as a weapon.

Everyone has there own opinions but I’m just saying that pickaxes can be used as weapons and mining they might not of added them to the game for a weapon but it is still something you can use as a weapon

I like that the pick can still open chests b/c if someone rushes me while I'm still getting stuff from my chests at least I have some kind of weapon in my hotbar

Well the only pickaxe you would use to fight is a diamond one cuz its equal iron axe and stone sword damage so idk i think its kinda unnecessary to do that but idrc if they add it or not
