:/

Yeah it hurts like a LOT it’s kind of throbbing pain from like a 1 to a 9 or 10 every few seconds and idk that’s kind of scary “draining a tooth” but like I’ve had a tooth removed before and It wasn’t that bad :(
It's not draining the tooth,
Here:
"Abscess:
A pocket of pus in a tooth caused by an infection.
The infection can result from an untreated cavity, injury, or old dental work."

They will drain the pus, and possibly remove the tooth.

I think you should listen to your dentist. They are the most competent about what you should do.

But remember, and it's a message for everyone, that you should not delay any treatment or medical appointment if you need it. You should not let any problem become bigger and bigger until it's too late because of the virus.
Please stay home as much as possible but take care of yourself and your relatives first. There are competent doctors that can give you help you if you need some.

The hospital should not be a problem if both you and your family try to wash your hands and not touch your face at all. But as I said, please listen to your dentist first.

Stay strong ! And good luck to you and your family (especially your dad!)

Surgery? What do you mean? I pretty sure the most they would do it remove the tooth, but im not positive. If they did remove the tooth, they can easily replace it with a fake.

The pain shifted to under the tooth now where I can’t close my mouth very hard. I’m just kinda scared they will have to operate on it cause I’ve never had surgery:/

Yes well it definetly should be classified as an emergency, normal dentist appointments can wait. XD if a person has severe tooth or gum pain and they need an appointment, I say they should immediately go before normal dentist appointments.
