Look ok so I’ve been having this tooth pain for 3 days and it’s getting to the point of pain where it’s almost worth crying for. My parents called the dentist but I have to wait for an answer and if it gets unbearable I need to go to the ER and I’m honestly kinda nervous about the virus now because there is an outbreak in a residential area here. If I go to the hospital I risk 1 getting the virus and 2 exposing my family to it when someone in my family is vulnerable (my dad) who is diabetic and has heart issues. It all started when three days ago I said my tooth was kinda sore and then the next day it started to have discomfort and now today almost unbearable shots of pain that just keep surging through the left side of my face. I don’t know how much longer I can put up with this but I’m kinda scared to go get it looked at now :/

If you go to the hospital don’t bring your dad it’s safer if he were to stay home

You could try using a heating pad or ice, just put it on the side of your face

I don’t know if you have wisdom teeth yet but if they’re coming in it might be why, you could also be like me / my 12 year molars started to come up around 3 months ago since they came in late that caused a bunch of pain but doubt it..

hope the pain stops soon <3

i'm very sorry, i don't know much about teeth, but i do know that god has a reason for everything. also, you're probably a teenager, and i believe that you probably have a very good immune system! god forbid you get the virus, you will most likely get cured, since deaths are mainly in very young adolescents and old people. don't worry, just relax and stay calm! <3

heres what you do

1.dont bring your dad along

2. take some wipes with you to wipe stuff off that may have been touched by people

3. try to get as farthest away from other people in the hospital

4. take a mask any mask will do if it covers your nose and mouth,or make a simple mask you can find out how to make one online

5. when you come home take a shower, washing your hands may not do it,and make it hot

6. take off your mask and throw it in a dumpser or trash bin outside

7. stay as far away from your dad until your showerd

im not sure if this will help but it may decrease the chances of you getting covid-19

It's very likely an abscess if it hurts that much. I've had one before and it's extremely painful. That abscess put me on my knees, and I just cried because it hurt. A lot. It's an infection in your tooth/gum and should be dealt with immediately. If it is an abscess, they might remove that tooth and drain the infection to completely get rid of the infection. That's what they did with mine.

Idk if that helps or if you do have an abscess, but what you're describing sounds like one.

I’ve had a tooth like this before, i had to get to the dentist and they had to rip it out, apparently it was a cavity. Try to make a cold ice bag and place it on that region, hope you feel better soon love <3

just an fyi wearing a mask only blocks one way, dont wear a mask unless you're sick, also if you wear gloves remembber to wash you hands every once in a while

Yeah it hurts like a LOT it’s kind of throbbing pain from like a 1 to a 9 or 10 every few seconds and idk that’s kind of scary “draining a tooth” but like I’ve had a tooth removed before and It wasn’t that bad :(

My parents called the dentist who said “emergency appointments only” and if they don’t call back I’m screwed because my parents say I can’t go to the hospital till it’s unbearable

I'm surprised the dentist or your doctor won't just give you an antibiotic b/c it sounds like an infection

Yeah but with Covid-19 and what you are describing they should put you on an antibiotic without seeing you/exposing you- there is no harm in antibiotic
