    Okay, I've never actually heard the terms 'finite verb' or 'nonfinite verb...' I Googled it and from what I'm understanding (I could be completely wrong) the finite verb in that sentence is "is." "Eat" would be nonfinite in that sentence. I guess that the verb that is actually being conjugated...
