Sometimes the username of the player isn't banned, but they are banned.

Staff has a point though. That person broke rules, and NOW they want to get banned? No. That's not how the world works. One mans actions, lead to their consequences. They need to pay for their wrong doing.

We could help though. Instead of spamming ban appeals, people could search their username on forums, and see if anyone reported them on forums. That is very helpful, and it saves ALL of us time. For example, if the person has been reported on forums for hacking, we tell that person, "You are banned for hacking, which is not acceptable on the server." Or, when they lie on their appeals. "You have been banned for______, because you lied on your appeal, there is a very slim chance of you getting unbanned."

I hope you guys know what I'm talking about.

That is true, Ray had the same problem 1 week ago...

That is an other debate, I think everybody have a different opinion about that :) and I will try to make a thread (if I find good words)

Yes, that is how Ban Appeal should be :)

And I know what you are talking about, the first thing I do when I see a new Ban Appeal is to search on Player Report if there is a Report against the guy :laugh:

Not really needed as staff can easily use the command that tells them why and who banned them (Not gonna say the actual command because i dont wanna get in trouble,XD

On Player Report there is 1 report, 1 reply and the thread is lock...
On Ban Appeal there is 1 request, 1 player tagging the staff, 1 Dat_Cool_Dude saying everything comes to his mind, 1 player acting like Staff, 1 player banned saying "unban me' and 1 Dat_Cool_Dude saying "create your own ban appeal"... BUT, there isn't always the Staff.


  • First idea
Make Ban Appeal as Player Report, when a player create his own Ban-Appeal, give the Ban Info, give the Staff answer about the ban :) and lock the thread :laugh:

Staff, you will probably say "we are not robots, we can't come immediatly, we have a life" and I agree :) but, there is always a moderator online, and when he/she manages a Player Report, she/he can go see if there are news Ban Appeals, and reply to them... That will help players, they are sad because they are banned and they need to wait forever for a reply that will never happen, so, they are more sad :(


  • Second idea
Unban people that are admitting and desolate about they hacked (of course, only if they admitted since the start, not after the moderator) :)
Because if they took the time to create an account and create a Ban Appeal, it proves they love the server and they want to come back...


  • Third idea
Can you do something about people that are spaming on Ban Appeal? thx, because it is annoying for people banned to see player discussing on their Ban Appeal :)

Can you allow the Staff to unban people banned by The Watcher?

Because it is unfair to hackers...
If they are very lucky, they are banned by Ssun, and they come back after 30 days. If they are lucky, they are banned by an other member of Staff and they can be unbanned if they apologize a lot. And if they are not lucky, they are banned by The Watcher and they never will be unbanned...

I know, we haven't the same opinion about hackers... :(
But think about that, please
All people deserves a second chance.

Because our current ‘whoever bans them gets to decide’ system doesn’t work for the watcher (also it’s a dumb system). We’re still talking about how our new system should work and because we all have different opinions it’ll take a while.

Also I don’t really consider unbanning a hacker ‘helping’ so.
Trying to make me feel guilty won’t work but nice try.

You can keep your current system but give to all member of Staff the possibility to unban The Watcher's victims

All members of staff can unban watcher victims. We just don’t tend to.
Also our system is unfair of course we are going to change it. As you pointed out depending on who you were banned by changes your chances of being unbanned. We know this. We’re trying to fix it.
