Whats wit da hate on Furries? D:

Whats with hate on furries?
Not here, other places like YouTube or other random sites.

Yeah, i get that there's the... sexual things people link to Furries, and i admit, some Furries DO do that, but thats a small sliver in the world of all things fur.
Obviously, there's people like
Telephone, or Hazard who really inhabit their fursona and really bring them to life, its amazing, characters coming to life, it doesn't matter if they are bubbly or timid, everyone who accepts them fall in love, they are so freaking cute, and its like magic, you turn into this new person and really just let go, some Furries make their fursona a jerk, others naive and the magic of it all can really whisk you away into their arms, surrouned by fur, and someone who accepts you for who you are.

Some people are afraid of us, and thats okay, meeting a giant furry animal can be daunting, but i assure you we wont hurt you, and if you spend a little time around us you could fall in love with us and maybe become a furry, most furries become furries from, well, seeing a furry, and the magic and love they bring.

And THEN there are homophobes, the majority of furries identify as homosexual or bisexual, causing as- annoying people to target them, and its sad to see someone being bullied for liking the same gender, LOVE IS LOVE.

Honestly, i think most of the people who dislike furries dislike us because we are afraid of things we can't understand, as humans thats just something we do, or otherwise don't do.

I may make a thread on how to stay safe while fursuiting, so stay tuned for that! :p

Fursuits range from simple tails and ears to full costumes with mechanical/electronic components. Similar to mascot suits, they allow the wearer to adopt another animal look and/or personality while in costume. Owners can spend less than one-hundred to many thousands of dollars on one fursuit, depending on the complexity of the design and on the materials used. These items are mainly sold online, with many makers owning sites dedicated to their suits. Suiting paraphernalia is often sold at "Furry Conventions." Furries may make their own using online tutorials and/or advice, or have hobbyist or professional fursuit maker or company assist them.

There are many types of fursuits. There are partials and fullsuits (along with several categories stemming from them. Suits that cover the whole body, or fullsuits, come with a head, a bodysuit, feetpaws, forepaws (hands), and a tail. There are three main types of fullsuits; the plantigrade, the digitgrade, and the unguligrade. Plantigrade gives a suit a more anthropomorphic look, adding no animalistic qualities to the legs. Digitgrade is used for canines, felines, birds, dinosaurs, and various other creatures. Unguligrade is used for hoofed animals such as horses or deer. A partial suit or half-suit contains the above, only without the body. This allows the wearer to don ordinary clothing (or a different costume) overtop of the paws, head and tail. In partial suits, the tail is usually attached to a belt, and the arms and legs have sleeves that can go up as far as the shoulders and pelvis, respectively. A third type known as the three-quarter suit has been developed, which consists of a head, arms and pants made to look like the legs, tail and feet of the animal in question, which works well for characters who only wear shirts. There is also an uncommon suit type; the quadsuit. It uses the arms of its wearer as the animals forelegs, and the hind legs are often stilts.
A key part of playing a character in suit is an engaging performance. The most expensive fursuit in the world will not help someone who does not know how to use it. Looking good is important, but not as important as acting.

How the performer acts in costume reflects on how others relate to them. If the desired character is bouncy and bubbly, then acting that way is required to communicate it to spectators.
The design of the suit plays a part in some of the moves that can be done. For example, some fursuiters with floppy muzzles nod their heads up and down rapidly to simulate laughter or enjoyment. This cannot be done with suits with a rigid muzzle, or no muzzle at all.
Other furries enjoy wearing their suits for parades, exhibitions, or conventionsfor simple personal fun or crowd entertainment. These fursuiters may also wear their suits to small, informal meetings among furry fans in their area.
Some may get permission to perform in or outside of a shop or event, while others may simply wear a suit in a major area, such as a mall. However, some cities have no-mask laws, so individuals seeking to wear their fursuit in large, public places should check first if it's allowed before performing at that location.
as to what makes them popular... no idea XD

Yeah they're cute and all but isn't the inside of a fursuit hot AF? And didn't you say before that some dud died from wearing one for too long? Plus if someone devoted around maybe at least 50% of their time to furry stuff (i.e. Hazard) then it just gets weird. Ik pretending to be someone else helps you to be more open or whatever, but it's still fictional, so it's kinda unhealthy to devote so much time to it... .-. But it's still fine to keep it as a hobby or whatever, I guess.

SOMEONE DIED!??!?!?
Apparently. I think he wore the fursuit for so long, and since it's SUPER hot in those things, he died from the heat or something.

I thinkBlue said it himself .-.

1. Are they a real animals? For example, are they a real identified species like a turtle or a bird?
They can be anything from regular creature to mythical creatures and even hybrids!

2. Where would you find these furries if they are real?
Conventions listed here:
http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/WikiFur_Furry_Central

3. I heard they are a fandom. Where and how did this fandom start?
https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Furry_fandom

4. Do people bring these animals to life and celebrate them?
We create these characters ourselves {Fursonas} Each and every fursona is unique in it's own way as they are custom designed to that persons design.

Furries are fine to me. I love furry animals, and sometimes anthropomorphic, if it doesn't look like poop. But I'm definitely not OBSESSED with them, either. The only thing I don't like about furries is how people ruin them by making... you know. THOSE pictures.

Yes, not counting the car crash, a furry died of heat stroke, they were hot so they layed down, and died, everyone thought they were sleeping until the end of the convention, its dangerous with lack of water and the heat combined.
