I was thinking of coming up with a suggestion about the YT Rank system. Normally the command is
but the amount of people who I see that are abusing this command is unreal and it is so hard to keep track of them all. That is why I am suggesting a YT Rank verification process. The verification process would require the YouTuber to contact us direct on the forums with a screenshot of them logged into their channel.
This way we would be able to track all those that have been using the rank to imitate a YouTuber and they wouldn't be able to do this anymore. A previous discussion was made back in February 2017 when a user called @Mason Fugate made a post about something similar to this. We would reset all those with the YT Rank on the server and they would have to message a member of staff to get their rank back.
Although if this was to be approved we would more likely up the amount of subscribers required from 100 to 250+ because then we would add new commands for them to use as nobody could abuse the rank. If /YouTube was removed and this was implemented it would also make things so much easier for us members of the staff team because of we don't have to keep asking what a users channel is every 5 seconds to check if they have got the right amount of subscribers.
The suggestion is basically meaning a complete redo of the YT rank system. The Rank would be changed to YT USERNAME: Chat Color and they would have access to basic commands like /gm 3 which would allow the user to go into spectator mode but this would be modified to allow staff members to see them even when players can't. The user would be allowed to change their nickname with /nick but there will be a cool down period on when they can use it and restrictions that would not allow them to change their nickname during a game. They would also have access to a new command suggestion /yta {YouTube Announce} which would allow a YouTuber to announce they are recording on our server in the HUB/Lobby they are in. The Announcement would be like INFO: YT <YouTubers IGN> is now recording, come say Hi This would only work on players who are in the same lobby or HUB as the YouTuber and this command would have a cool down of a minimum of every 2 hours. YouTuber's would be given access to /fly but the /fly command would only work in HUB's and minigame HUB's just like it does for VIP's.
YouTubers would have access to chat to staff members in case they would require assistance with a user being abusive with a staff action request command or /sas This would be like the /staff command but All players would be able to talk in it and staff would be able to reply. This would also need to be compatible with BrokenLens Lynx The YouTubers could have access to the /tag command to hide their tag during the game but they will also be able to enable it during the game. This would have a cool down of ten minutes.
I feel like this is needed on the server again because of all those that fake the YT rank but also because those with the YT rank do record on our server and that counts as free advertising.
