hey everyone it’s been a minute!
I didn’t realize that the forums came back on until I randomly looked at my spammed Email and saw that BrokenLens sent me an Email implying that the forums came back on and now here I am. I tried coming back to the forums in like of 2024 but unfortunately at that moment the forums weren’t available anymore and it was kind of unfortunate because I actually didn’t get to experience the last day of this server. I’m sure many of you know me or probably forgot about me so let me reintroduce myself to probably get to remember me lmao.
Hi my name is Reco ( I’ve had many usernames before like Locals , Eriell and some other corny usernames that I forgot about lol I was young so don’t judge me ) a lot of people don’t know this but I’m originally from France yes I am a French citizen some people thought I was American because my English is actually really good and it’s actually my main language because I was raised in an island in the Carribean that I still despise to this day and I speak 3 languages : English ( obviously ) , Spanish and French.
So yea my life has changed ALOT during the closure of BrokenLens , currently I’m 20 years old and soon to be 21 on September 2nd and I’m not gonna lie I thought most of the staffs were like either younger than me or like my age but I’m completely wrong, based on what I can see most of the Ex Staff members are around 20-25 maybe even older which makes me feel better about myself cause I thought I would be considered an unc lol.
Anyways speaking of introductions I want to mention what my role was on the server and what I mostly did. Most of you guys know that I actually built maps for the server ( I was an official Builder for BrokensLens ) and I’m not gonna lie I “claimed” to have built some maps like 2-3 and was caught but like I said I was young and did some stupid mistakes, but other than that yea I was actually improving as a Builder and even collaborated with a Builder to make a Survival Games map which was one of my ( or probably our ) biggest project yet but unfortunately the server shut down so we had to cancel the project. Anyways outside of building I mostly played Murder Mystery which was the biggest mode on the server I think.. Skywars , The Splatoon Game ( I don’t remember the name ), Quakecraft , One In the Chamber , TNT Tag , Hide and Seek and honestly more other games cause the server was entirely diverse and had lots of game modes you can choose from hence why I enjoyed playing on it, not only were the games fun to play but the community itself was outstanding ,welcoming and friendly. I think I was around level 2000 which was low considering the fact I played ALOT I mostly spent my time typing to be fair lol.
Anyways I’m gonna get a bit personal here , before and after the server went off I actually suffered from Depression and I was really skinny because I wouldn’t eat and just play the game , I was constantly being bullied by people at my school since I was 11 years old so yea it was really bad for me. However when I turned 18 years in 2023 my life turned into a 180 turn , I started focusing on myself more by trying my best to ignore peoples comment , going to the gym and actually being healthy which paid off big time , Currently I’m not at my goal yet because I’m not “fit” I’m just in a really good weight range . Anyways going to the present I currently just moved to a new country 3 months ago which is the Dominican Republic , I live on my own but my dad is nearby which is good because I never really had a relationship with my dad when I was young, I live on my own , I’m now 100 healthier and I used to be desperate and liked attention but now I actually don’t like any of those 2 things and changed my mindset and the way I live.
Currently I haven’t touched Minecraft or gaming you could say in almost 5-6 months because I had to sell my PC, I’m planning to buy one in the future but my goal isn’t really gaming right now ( like sure I’ll play here and there because I still enjoy gaming ) but I’ll mostly be focused on how to get rich with AI Or E-commerce since I’m a very intelligent and dedicated person . Gaming will forever be in my heart and so will this community but at the end of the day I have to move on to my adult life and focus on my future.
Anyways that’s basically it that’s all I have to say , anyways I’d love to hear from old friends or staff members , how are you guys? How’s life? I will try my best to respond to everyone but again at some point I’ll probably won’t come back so yea.. let me know what’s up everyone
