A group of 24 specially-chosen people, all single, stood inside an empty but big, nicely designed hall. The 24 had separated into groups of 2s and 3s to talk among themselves. There was, however, a stray — someone who was leaning against the wall, observing the 23 others who surrounded her. She wore a dark grey sweater with black jeans, and had navy blue glasses.

“Hi there,” a girl in a pink, beautiful dress said to the girl in the sweater. “I'm Pixie. What's your name?”
“Rouge,” the girl said, as she adjusted her glasses.
“Any ideas on why we're here?” Pixie asked.
“I heard the guy who called me here, Tan, was going to run an experiment, to see how long a group of people could last before falling in love with each other. But there's a twist — once you fall for someone, you're out,” Rouge said. She checked her watch.

‘11:45 am.’

“Ooooh, sounds interesting!” Pixie said, as she thought about it. She looked around. “But,” Pixie took a deep breath. “I think I've already fallen for a guy.”
