XBox live mistake

It's a long and painful process, but it's possible to play normally as a child account. You cannot change it, unfortunately.

Create a seperate adult account and add your child account to Xbox family.
(You may be charged $0.50 but it is donated to charity at least)
Useing the adult account, go into to Online Safetly settings and select the child account.
You can change the child account's settings as the adult and change them. You can make the child account OP or whatever you want.
