I’ve usually heard the term as “death by a thousand cuts,” which refers to a method of execution once used in China, where someone would be killed by inflicting a large number of relatively small cuts. Key: relatively. A knife would still be used.

I have no life. I searched this up until I found an article. Based on this, I would take 100 paper cuts. Due to the fact that rubbing alcohol prevents infections, and cleans wounds. With a nail to the toe, you'd probably bleed more.
