Hello there. I am here to talk about the Windows 10 damage penalty an why I feel that it should be altered.
It is true that Windows 10 players have an advantage in pvp so I agree that there should be a handicap on Windows 10 players to make the game fair.
Currently the penalty is an 80% damage reduction (Windows 10 players deal 1/5 of PE players per hit.) I see this to be very unfair, considering anyone who plays PE could land one hit for every 5 hits a windows 10 player lands.
To give an example of what I mean, a windows 10 player with a diamond sword deals as much damage as a PE player using their fist. Every player has 100 HP. Each heart equates to 10 HP . To calculate how much damage an attack decreases HP by, multiply the base damage by 5 (E.G. 5 attack damage = 25 HP per hit.) this will not apply to Windows 10 players because of the damage reduction, their attack damage will remain the same)
A fist does 1 damage normally. Multiplied by 5 makes the fist reduce HP by 5 per hit. (PE) A diamond sword does 7 damage normally. However, the game rounds the hearts per hit to the nearest half a heart. Half a heart is 5 HP. One heart is 10 HP. 7 (Diamond Sword damage) is closer to 5 than 10 so the game rounds the damage to 5 HP. (Windows 10)
So this makes a Windows 10 player deal as much damage with a diamond sword as a PE player with a fist: half a heart or 5 HP.
My suggestion is to make Windows 10 players have a 50% damage reduction (1/2 PE damage) because while Windows 10 players do have a control advantage over PE players, any weapon a Windows 10 player has will do almost no damage. I use Windows 10 and don't have an IPad for PE so i constantly get killed by people using fists, shovels, wooden tools, even when I have way more armour and a better weapon (under normal circumstances) and I do land more hits on them, but it takes me at least 50 to get a kill compared to their 5-10 hits needed. With my suggestion, I feel that Windows 10 players would have more of a chance in PVP, and it would encourage more Windows 10 players to come and try the currently empty PVP game servers.
Thanks for reading (Though you probably didn't.) and have a good day/night.
