Why Doesn't This Work???? :(

Ok so when I was in Brlns I bought one of the new walking particles, the Flame Rings one and it didn't worm I activated it too! I was a gold rank (The reason you don't see it is bc my IGN is messed up and I need @vertx) Do I need to take off one of the old particles to activate the new ones or what?
