Make bug reports private (only staff can see threads but players can still post there) so that players won’t abuse the glitches shared in that forum and same with player reports so that it’s private and people don’t feel weird posting there because it’s public. Thank you!

nah it's fine
i don't think i've ever seen a user abuse a bug they learned in a bug report. It's not a really a big deal anyways, they'll just get banned. I don't understand why someone would you feel weird posting there, but i guess you could privately report it in a convo.

Bug report bugs could benefit players in a cheating way and if they don’t get caught before it’s nerfed then they would get away with it.

What if the person reported sees the report though? That would be awkward.

Most people don't abuse bugs once they learn about it though.

it depends. lol if it's an mb player, then drama can happen and the thread gets locked. Usually people just give an explain that aren't cheating or whatever.
It's been suggested making player reports private (only you and staff can see your reports) I'm not sure this is going to be implemented though.

But like I said earlier, if you feel a report might cause drama or you don't feel comfortable reporting it publicly, you can report the user privately in a convo. ^^

Explanations aren’t prooven true though. That player could’ve hacked once and it should be all staff opinions given based off of the proof provided by x reporter. If no proof is given, then it shouldn’t be trusted. Staff should use their best judgment with no other interruptions when it comes to whether a player hacks, swears, or breaks any rules or not.

That would be annoying

Bad idea. 85% of forums will disagree with this suggestion.

Just because not many people agree with it doesn’t mean it’s not good. When someone abuses a bug before it’s nerfed then it will be implemented, trust me on this because it’s a valid point that should be considered. If the spam filter broke for instance people could put hundreds of spam bots to invade the server, all with different igns, cids and ips (changed by using multiple devices and vpns). Also it’s just an idea, it’s not like it’s 100% going to get added.

I understand what you're saying about bug reports. However, player reports our better when kept public. Players can easily help identify bypassers, and even provide more evidence if the original report did not have enough in the first place.

The way it works on other servers with forums is the way I’m suggesting and as a previous staff member of one of said servers it works fairly well. There are already multiple reports on a few certain players and additional proof/information could be added in a new report instead of an old outdated one. Old reports could be locked and it would cause less “New posts” spam.

Isn’t it they’ll be punished for 7 days when they glitch exploit?

Not always, sometimes they get away with it. Trust me.

Isn’t the staff are trying their best just to give the server a good service towards other players and to keep it’s fairness?
Yes, I used to be staff on another big server (one bigger than this) and sometimes rule-breakers got away. I understand the struggle with being staff on a huge server. I know a lot about this kind of stuff because of this past experience.

This is BrokenLens, not other servers. Why would you want it to be like other huge servers that you’ve handled before? There are different flows in every server, if bug reports are reported in public bothers you just don’t report a bug instead. It won’t help this case at all and it will make it more worst, you know the struggles of the staff team but you're only thinking about this kind of reports that it should be reported privately. Why? Just give me a valid reason, so that I should agree with this.

Plus, it will doubled up their job as a staff to handle a lot of bug reports unlike other players here which can help easily and to tell wether it is a bug or just a sort of lag or etc.
