Why am I perm banned

I had got banned like couple months ago and it was a temp ban but when I got back on to see how much time I had left, it said I was perm banned, I play on primarily on Java and my friends play on Bedrock so this was a great server to play with them. It would be great to have the ban appealed or an explanation why I got the ban in the first place

I did notice blocks/players disappearing and myself falling slower when I died like I was stuck in cobwebs but I thought it was more so lag and the server being new to Java, I can understand why it seemed like I was hacking
