Idk... sometimes it's for roleplay, other times there are two people who know eachother irl playing at the same time.

Or someone is just lonely and can't get a partner irl so they look to a kids server.

Two Thoughts

1) My sister’s friend’s plumber’s daughter was asked to meet at a nearby Starbucks by a creepy old man. He even told her the address! Needless to say, neither that friend or that pumber’s daughter is playing MCPE anymore.

2) I wonder how many people on Minecraft servers are pedophiles pretending to be innocent kids and if people think I’m a creepy old man. o_O

The 'love them for them' is the only part of that I can respect

But if people are gonna date through a game they could at LEAST have known each other for a while on it, rather than go into a match and say, "who want to be my gf?"
