If it says air that's normal Also Sometimes that happens to me Did you try playing a different game to see the results? it might be The chunks Loading Just be patient and wait for it to load if not I'm sorry.

The bug has happened in many games before already. I'm pretty sure it's due to the lag and perhaps chunk loading erros. Sorry :/
