ik I'm months late, but this is so accurate. back then, we used the shovel on the maps because the shovel typically yielded better results (either that, or we didn't use the bow too properly when we tried). Back then, 1k-1.6k was pro score (before any of the new maps). When splatter first came out and stuff best player was like 500 lol. I remember used to getting best player with a score of 741 xD.
However, I think Lachlan figured out that the bow was much better and thus, he was ahead of all of us and we never caught on. Lach unlocked the secrets of splatter really early, like he knew about the exp farming wayy before it got popular (shortly after that it was bannable lol). It was only when the airport map came out then people started to use the bow because on the airport map, the shovel only splatter a measly 9 blocks so it wasn't good. That gave rise to the bow and the bow continued to rise in popularity with the new maps trickling in, favoring the bow.
