What's the point of server restarts?

can someone please give me the reason why server restarts exist? It's very annoying and it happens every time voting time starts in tbb. Can you please give me the reason?

I don't know the true reason, but my theory is when the server restarts, the lag is gone and some bugs as well. It's like when you have a problem with your phone, but when you reboot it, the problem is fixed. It's sort of like that. It will restart alot because BrokenLens is in BETA.

Don't know exactly since been awhile since i played online... but my best guess is to keep the servers stable and in some cases to upload some update

As BlueWillow said, I think I'll give you the reason. Okay, there should be the server restarts is still in BETA, because of many people get to the server will make more lag just before restarting the server in an hour or two hours. However, I think that instead of restarting the server in an hour or two hours, it should be restarting after more lag or crash or an update, so people should wait for it only to the server restarts. Also, the server restarts would be fine to STAY in the BrokenLens Server.

i think it is to clear any lag. Or if a game is having a problem it gets fixed in the server restart.

Server restarts to help clear up alot of lag in the server and sometimes decelopers use the time to update anything but usually if they are, it would say something like BrokenLens is testing new features!
