Today, I wanna share what is Minecraft in my opinion.

First, let me explain Minecraft in other language. In Chinese, Minecraft means "My World". That means that this world is mine, I am the only ppl can control this world.

Now, I am talking about my opinion. So, in my "How well do u know me?", I say that Minecraft is a Scientific Game. Why? The reason is, there're many things that's contain Science.

1, Furnace - Contains Chemistry knowledge
2, Iron, Gold and Diamond - Contains Chemistry knowledge
3, Coal - Contains Chemistry knowledge
4, Walking, Sprinting - Contains Biology knowledge
5, Hunger and food - Contains Biology knowledge
6, Sunrice and sunset - Contains Physics knowledge
7, Mining tools - Contains Chemistry knowledge
8, Enable killing - Contains Biology knowledge
9, Mobs, such as sheep, pigs - Contains Biology knowledge
10, Lava and Water - Contains Chemistry/Physics knowledge

This is just some of the examples.

Next, Redstone contains Robotic Knowledge. One of my friend tell me that actually Minecraft Readstone is very similar to the real life, the redstone is the wire, etc.

Lastly, command block Contains Basic Programming Knowledge. But Minecraft make it much easier than real.

This is my opinion of Minecraft. What's ur opinion of Minecraft?

I wouldn't say that Minecraft is completely based on scientific principles. In fact, it ignores a lot. Some of these are pretty obvious and simple things that could have been thought of before, some are things that I suppose are necessary for gameplay and fun but are still wrong.
In Minecraft, you might all into lava, run around burning until you find some water, and be perfectly fine in a few minutes. In real life, if you were anywhere near to lava, you'd die almost instantly due to the heat. Lava has a temperature between 700 and 1,200 degress Celsius, or 1,300 and 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course, lava just lying around should have cooled and solidified eventually. Let's assume, then, that all lava in Minecraft is perpetually fresh. In that case, it's also releasing harmful gases that nobody should breathe. Steve has impressive fire resistance, even without the potion.
Iron buckets that can hold lava in them are burnt and destroyed when thrown into the same lava that they held a moment ago. That's some amazing logic right there.
Also, TNT (trinitrotoluene) is not sand plus gunpowder. It's a compound, I'm guessing molecular, made of three nitrogen atoms plus... toluene, I guess, whatever that is. I can't remember any element by that name, but there are a few I forget.
Not to mention (wait, I am mentioning it) that Steve (well, player characters in general) is impossibly overweight. He's almost two metres tall and a metre wide, so he has a volume of roughly 322,273 cubic centimetres. An average person weighs just over 1 gram per cubic centimeter, so if we assume the same applies in Minecraft, Steve weighs about 342 kilograms or 750 pounds (from a video by ibxtoycat on YouTube). He really needs to go on a diet, instead of eating a whole chicken every five minutes.
He's also impossibly strong. Out of all materials in Minecraft gold is the heaviest in real life, weighing 19,320 kilograms per cubic metre. Steve can hold 36 stacks of 64 gold blocks, each a cubic metre, which adds up to 44,513,280 grams. Also, eight gold blocks are used to create one enchanted golden apple, and Steve can hold just as many of these assuming he has enough. That's 356,106,240 grams, over 1,000 times Steve's incredible body weight (again, this one was taken from an ibxtoycat video). Pretty impressive.
Also, a single chest has 27 slots to hold items. If each slot is filled with 64 blocks of any kind, then a chest that's one cubic metre big can hold up to 1,728 cubic metres inside. Again: amazing logic.
Finally, from 2 cubic metres of water, it is possible to get infinitely more water, and as mentioned before, objects thrown into lava disappear forever. What happened to "matter cannot be created or destroyed"?

No, wait, that's not final. There's something I forgot to add. Falling into water. Falling from high enough, hitting water is basically the same as hitting concrete. Even if it wasn't, it would have to be pretty deep, because with the momentum as you'd have if you fall from really high, you'd still move downwards before slowing and stopping. One metre deep is definitely not deep enough.

Anyway, I think Minecraft can be two things:
In Creative, it's about being, well, creative, building impressive structures the way... uh... insert famous sculptor here, since I don't know any, sculpts, or Picasso makes paintings. A creative world is your own work of art.
In Survival, it's sort of showing off resourcefulness, and showing that even when it's tough, look who's ruling the world?

I would think of minecraft as a game for fun mainly, but also a way to teach kids about new things such as, as said above, minerals, crafting, some prior knowledge and mainly a way to express a persons' architectural skills as they can set their mind free with building. People would also be able to connect with others and perhaps make friends, like in BrokenLens, as well as a place for fun games and basically a place where you can let your imagination run wild (unless your on a public server in which some cases your SCREWED XD)
