so let's start, What exactly is a furry?
An Furry is someone who likes the idea of Anthropomorphics. Anthropomorphics can be seen mainly in Disney films for example "Zootropolis" & "The Lion King". Anthropomorphics is where animals have human characteristics. For example: In the Lion king all of the characters talk. Talking is an Human trait. this is Anthropomorphics but just a small example.
Furries create their own unique character of their own style their own look and which species their character is. For example the Dutch Angel Dragon species is only related to the furry fandom. We create a full reference of our fursona's which we use as a guide for artists to draw our characters or for fursuit makers when requesting to see the design of your character.
Furries originated back in the 1980's when an Anthropomorphic comic was found at a Comicon Convention. People loved the idea and started making their own characters (fursonas) soon the fandom grew bigger and bigger to what its like today where we have conventions, meets and people even making money because of the fandom.
In the real world it can all seem tough with work, being an fursuiter can take that all away you can become your character that you created, act like how your character would act (just not violent).

Fursuits are used to bring our characters to life in real life. Who wouldn't like going around suited up as your own character It's amazing I've had the experience. When in suit there are key precautions to watch out for.

- Keep an look out for others
- make sure you have an rough guide on how big your characters head is in suit.
the answer is simple. We are lovers of big cuddly furry anthropomorphic creatures. We have big meets that take place all over the world these meets are called Furmeets, Conventions. Anthrocon is the worlds largest furry convention with over 5000+ attendees every year!
You may be thinking..I've heard about Furries before over the internet and media. THE MEDIA is completely wrong. They think that we are doing it just as an (censored). We don't do this for the (censored) we do this because of we love the fandom itself we love supporting the fursuit makers and the amazing artists that create our characters. The fandom also can help bring your imagination to life! There are barely any limits to what your character can look like and which species! You could even make up your own.
