He didn't really give an explanation, he simply said he's going.
He has said in the past that he believes most people here hate him - and rightfully so, because they do lol. And, he likely doesn't want to waste time knowing there to be a chance people may not forgive him.
*No matter Spike's gender, I'm going to refer to him using male pronoun as it's how I have always referred to him as and his gender has yet to be disclosed.
