Weird hits

So,
I'm a Skywars player and this have been happent to me a lot. Yesterday for example I 1v1 a guy in an arena we made and we both run straight to each other, he didn't go neither left not right just with w pressed. And I couldn't even touch him, at first I though I will go right or left and then I was like "what if he's hacking?". And I just go straight and he could hit me but it was too far for an normal player to hit him. After we finished he told me "I'm a pc player, you should update to pc it's really good'. And I asked told him these hits are weird and he told me "because I'm on pc" and I was like wat. Idk if I or him was lagging but I really want to hear another opinion because Dudee am I going mad or what.

Hits for mobile players and PC players are very different. It's most apparent against the "PC tryhard" race.
You're not going mad, I can tell you that.

Oh yea ive come across a few players saying that. Most were clearly hacking tho.
