Very hard question appeared in a Exam Practice Paper (Chinese)

Um, I'll try to translate o-o
What was Teacher Lee's main purpose of the phone call?
1. Ask why the boy didn't come to school
3. Tell the mother about the make-up classes
(Skipped 2 cause it's wrong)

The story is the teacher called the mom to ask why the son didn't come to school, the mom answered that the son was hurt during an accident and da doc says he had to stay at home for awhile, the teach says that he hopes that the son will recover quickly cause of the upcoming exams and said he would give the son make-up classes when he returns.

A boy from my class says that option 3 is correct and my teacher tried to convince him but failed, so whoever convinces that boy gets to eat with her and obviously the boy too, I didn't bother to try cause... I would rage quit while trying to think about how to convince him, my friend tried and HE convinced my friend instead o-o

Sooooo in conclusion, help? ;-;

It's most likely they're asking about why the child was absent? So I choose 1 :)

1. because there will be an upcoming exams while the teacher didnt know why the boy was absent at first.
but he did not told anything about the make up classes, but hoped that the boy will recover soon,of he returns before the exams or recovered quickly, the teacher will give him a make up class to lear lessons that he skipped because of the accident.
thats my theory i guess...

A: because it was an emergency and he was injured badly.
