I think that alerts should be split into categories on forums.
For example, a new private convo message should be purple, a reply/quote to your message should be red, someone liking your message should be green, and so on. These new branches of alerts would be displayed near the top of the page where the normal “single cell” alerts are.
This would help everyone stay organized, but I think it would help staff the greatest. That way, they can quickly filter out what alerts are the most important, so they can help players the best that they can despite having their inboxes seemingly flooded with alerts.
