Updates in the discord?

Has anyone else who uses the server realize that some channels are now missing?
Are things finally being changed to the server, so that it can be used in the future?
Or is it just that things are being kept hidden?
 
i was there, the general channel got unmuted for a moment but it instantly got quite a lot of criticism or even toxicity towards the server that made the staff/admin deleted the channel (i think)
i think this thing happened in less than 30 minutes

I was there too

Once it got opened, a lot of players chatting there said some negative/toxic things. It was surprising how fast the channel got muted or deleted right after getting unmuted-

The channel has been deleted immediately due to the toxicity of the people in it. The action was done to regulate and maintain the server from the negativity of some of its members.

It is just my opinion though. I made this message for those who are wondering why some of the channels are deleted and muted.

tbh I don't blame them... the discord server has been down for months, since November, I think players have the right to become upset at staff for censoring the discord for so long. Have we even gotten a reason as to why the discord servers went down? Why did staff feel that muting the servers was the best option for months? They aren't being transparent, which is something I thought they would work on?

yeah BrokenLens players are incredibly toxic...but censoring the discord servers is not going to work, that "solution" is just a way for them to avoid the problem. In the end, when they open the discord back up, won't players still be toxic?

Is there even plans to open up the discord server again? If not, what is stopping a player from creating an unofficial brlns discord server?

I mainly don't see the point of having the server, if it isn't even accessible, unless for archive or for staff related discussions, since why even have the invite still open for there and all, it just doesn't make sense unless it is for a reason like that.

Can't they just warn/kick the people who are though? and with all the other staff roles they have, have a possible discord dedicated staff role, to help assist on the discord?

The general channel was currently deleted for severe reasons, Including toxicity of the players. And spreading hate and all of that.

It's been quite a while since it has happened, The players are just way to toxic. They can at least chill out for a moment since, Making a server is a hard decision whether it's gonna be likeable or not.

But, Them they do not know the pain and the worst parts into making a server when they haven't experienced it, Into the different wonders of BrokenLens it's still a great server. The hackers have quite died, And the toxicity isn't really ending. The VC channels are at least open which is great for people.

I've also seen different servers that BL players are in there just to talk to each other, Hopefully The dc server would be open in quite a while, Even though the toxicity is still there. I recommened the staffs at least mute the needed players so the channels aren't closed as always, Since it's a bit useless for a dc server when you cannot talk to it.

I respect everyone, I wanted to state my opinion. Let's hope that the dc would be open and the toxic people would at least get muted. The server on the other hand is most likely getting positive feedbacks but, Not the hacker. Surely the hackers would decrease more because of the hardworking staffs and the greatness of Vertx's hardworking ideas to make the server a better server than any other else.

BrokenLens have gotten a lot of criticism towars both, The pvp system and the eating system. It's very unfair when you just don't realize the hard work of they put into it, Since it's hard to make a likeable server. It's not impossible, But the chances are small but never zero.

I just found out about this thread. Many of the points mentioned here are interesting and worth considering and implementing in my opinion. As a result, I just forwarded it over to some of the higher ranking staff members on the server so they could take a look at what everyone mentioned in regards to the current state of the discord server, as well as staff transparency and discussion with the community.
That would honestly be quite an exciting prospect to see everyone hang out on the discord server even if I'm ultimately not in charge for making those types of decisions and if such decisions would require the planning, time, coordination, and approval of many of the other staff members within the BrokenLens community.
Like I mentioned though, This does not mean that there will be significant change at this time although it does mean that this is something that we are more actively looking into at this point and that this is something that we will try to be more open about with the community in the future.
