I know advertising server is bannable but what if we want to tell our irl friend that they went on the wrong server or that they only mentioned the server but not the description of it like for example

-irl at someplace-
Me: meet me on brlns
Friend: okay
-2 hours later-
Me: *does stuff on brlns waiting for hours*
Friend is now online
-on public chat-
Me: did u went on “M***plex”?
Friend: yea
Me: I told you it’s here not there -_-

Sooo is it advertising or is it only advertising when mentioning ip thingy

i think it would be ok. No one is saying "Join Mineplag!" or the IP or port.
