so ik someone recently made this exact point but today i’m just gonna discuss it again.

fair disclaimer: i know this is not a rule, but, i think it kind’ve needs to be discussed.

topic: giving descriptions of the murd

my opinion: it isn’t fair to the murd. like i understand the sheriff wants to know, but if you’re someone just trying to win a game for once it gets kind’ve unfair

reasons:

-say there’s 2 innocents left (not including sheriff) and someone had seen you kill someone. when there’s hardly anyone left it’s so easy for the sheriff to tell if there is a description out there

-the game is called “murder MYSTERY”. meaning, you’re supposed to find out on your own. take clue for an example. you don’t tell who you think did it do you? no. you don’t say “pLuM dId iT iN tHe bEdRoOm wItH a dAgGeR.” so whenever someone says “the murd is female, red hair, flower crown, jeans and a red shirt” (i just used my skin as an example) it kind’ve just ruins the whole game for everyone

-sometimes people get the description wrong! and then we have this person over here saying “it’s a girl with red hair and a red shirt” (i just put a dummer version of my skin as the description) but it’s not that person. then you’re just running and the sheriff thinks you’re running at them to kill them so you get shot and boom you’re both dead.

what i think you should do:

-if you know someone who is in the same game as you, and know that they won’t tell, just do /frm (if they’re not sheriff). it doesn’t let EVERYONE know, just let’s your friend know.


now please don’t be little snowflakes about this. it’s my opinion and i purposely stated i know this isn’t a rule. pls let me know what you think! have a good day <3
 
Agreed, especially in open maps when the sheriff can do long distant shooting and they know you killed

Andddddd........very unpopular opinion there should be no spectators allowed in MM. So many people telling there friends where people are- takes the fun (and challenge) out of it imo. Back to the other issue- when someone describes the murderer I usually make up a completely different skin and say "no, its the boy in the dinosaur onesie". If enough people did that it could make things more interesting.

Now that I think about it, it does seem unfair. Chat should probably be disabled. The problem with that is many people like to chat with their friends while playing mm, so that might be a drawback for them. These players could just chat in a lobby, but then mm will lose players.

I think it is unfair. But what if the murderer could actually use chat. I think it’s obvious a person is the murderer bc they can’t use chat and they can’t pick up gold. Why can’t the murderer use chat or pick up gold?

yes. like on a diff server (not for pe) the murderer can pick up whatever ore they have and can like buy an extra sword at x amount

i like the mm chat because it’s fun sometimes but it does get annoying. if the murderer was like less obvious (like being able to chat, pick up gold) it’d be better for them. i do think it should be against the rules but that’s just me. or like it’d stop you somehow (it’s prob impossible but)

Hmm in the description of the game it says the innocents can help the sheriff out ( I think ) although I don’t remember.

It's kind of weird, this would give murderer an advantage and that would make the game potentially not fun for innocents. There needs to be balance, and where the game is right now seems pretty balanced to me at least. I respect your opinion though.

yeh. i just also think it’s not fair when you’re in a smaller game with like 5 ppl, and if one sees you it’s very easy to tell who it is if they say
