Is it a bit too much to ask for good tsw teammates that dont fall off in the first minute of the game
 
You can do nothing about it, choosing a team could be randomize if a player hasn’t picked any.

You can have a better one if you play with your friends who can invite you in their party, but if you don’t have one then I think you should just endure your teammates as the server randomly picks them or based on their choices of team.

The server won't randomize it unless multiple teams are not full.
