TNT doesn't work in skywars

When I want it to work, it doesn't, and when I check it again to see what's wrong, then it works! And then I die! Can someone please fix the TNT item so it works all the time? Thanks

1.) when someone attempts to light the Tnt it just simply gets on fire not lighting up
2.) doesnt show on screen when lit up and when close enough it explodes and that person dies
