I remember when I first started playing Minecraft back when COVID started and I got a new laptop. My parents wouldn’t allow me to spend money on games, so after I got bored of playing survival on MCBE, which I had cracked after so much effort lmao
, I started searching for servers that didn’t require a Microsoft or Xbox account to play on.
That’s when I came across BrokenLens (honestly, one of the best things that could’ve happened). I started playing there almost every day, starting around the end of 2020. Along the way, I made so many friends. Some of the names I still remember are Ruby, Daph (Dappy?), Loominah, and a very special person I’ll never forget. She went by Euphemie21 or something like that, I believe.
The COVID years and BrokenLens really were such a great combination together.
Unfortunately, the server had to shut down. All good things come to an end, I guess.
I started playing Hive afterward, but it never felt quite the same, and gradually I quit as I started college as well. Now I’ll be graduating with an engineering degree in a year. It’s crazy because I was in 10th standard when I first started playing. So nostalgic.

I still remember sweating on MobWars and other PvP games, but MobWars especially. The TNT drop on that mob, lmao.
Slowly, I made so many friends. The active MobWars players from that time might even remember me. I was kind of a sweat, not gonna lie.
Man, the hackers used to be so frustrating. But after becoming a bit known in the community, I made a lot of admin and staff friends. Whenever a hacker joined my lobby, I’d just message one of them and they’d insta ban the hacker. It was amazing, lmaooo. One of my favorite memories.
Well, thanks for reading my rant if you made it this far. I hope you’re all doing really well. Getting that forums reopening email was such a nice surprise. It was so freaking nostalgic.
Reflecting on the fact that my parents wouldn’t let me spend a single dime on video games back then, and now I’m at a point where I don’t have to ask them for such small things anymore… it’s really been something.
