The End of BrokenLens Servers

I will definitely miss this server.. If it hadn't existed I probably wouldn't be who I am now. I've made so many friends throughout my time on the server from 2017-2022.. and even though the server is physically no more we will still remember it as treasured memories and moments <3. I thank all the staff over the years and the owner. The talented builders making the game modes so fun. I wish everyone the best! :DD

Brokenlens was the reason I have made so many friendships which I hope I meet most of them in real life anytime soon. I am thankful that Puggy(my beautiful sis) showed me this game :')
Brokenlens was my whole childhood, I was playing 24/7 I had so much fun ..
Unfortunately everything has an end they say:cry: :'(
Memories will remain and even though I had stopped playing it for 2 years, this actually broke my heart:pleading:

You are all my second family thank you for everything I hope we will not lose contact at all..:two_hearts:
I'm not going to mention names because I am afraid I will miss some for sure so I love you all no matter if we have fought in the past (for stupid things), each one of you gave me a lesson, we should look at our future now:two_hearts:

Nahhh this is so unfair, mojang have chosen a sh#%ty server pay to play like pixelparadise instead of bl which was 100 times better...
Tbh this server was my favorite, especially in 2019-2020, i won't forget it

ngl bro, i was getting emotional, like literally so much people in my fl that went inactive, went ACTIVE just to see brlns one more time. During the countdown, when everybody started spamming chat nonstop in grm and normal chat saying "BYE EVERYONE" , "BYE BROKENLENS THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING" , "I LOVE U ALL GOODBYE" I literally got emotional. It felt like a scene from an anime where the sons father spirit was leaving his body to the sky smiling at his son while his son was crying out to him telling how thankful he was.

But damn. I feel like i lost a family member or somethin, its like yk, you wake up and you expect brlns to still be there, but its not, Brokenlens is gone forever.

i literally did not find out about the server shutting down until just now (shoutout to ben!) but reading this just made me so sad.

i quit awhile back and became inactive even on the forums but this place held - and this still does - such a special place in my heart. i am forever grateful for everyone i had the chance to meet or even just interact with. the joy i had spending hours upon hours during the summer playing skywars or murder mystery is something i will never forget.

it’s honestly quite fitting that it came to it’s end during my senior year, since i’m currently preparing to leave my hometown/family to go to university. i’m really letting go of my childhood, and that includes brokenlens.

thank u gabriel and the wonderful staff who made younger me so incredibly happy <3

damn, i'm pretty late :')...i wanna say thank you to everyone whom i've met in my journey in this server. my experiences here definitely had an impact in my life; socially, mentally, physically.

it was around 2016 when i became a regular (unaware there's a bl forum), and it was where i peaked in life. i was obsessed playing mc, meeting friends in the server. i even remember that i got banned (falsely) and i was clueless. didn't know what to do, ended up crying. eventually, i just moved on. it was in summer 2017, i thought i should visit bl again to see if anything changed. happily i reacted, i was unbanned. now THIS was when i really peaked, and i got to meet so many different people whom have became my friends. i continued being active until late 2019. it was fun. t'was also sad that there were relationships broken because of misunderstandings and mishaps. looking back, i'm glad i learned my lesson. i can proudly say that i've become a better person :).

i hope there are still people who remember "McGaMeR4", and if you do, thank you.

never have i seen a server with a community of people who all know eachother and like eachother. i could go into any of the minigames and i'd recognise at least 2-3 people i was playing with. it was like the biggest global family and it was wonderful. i've met some people on here who seriously impacted me as a person and shaped who i am today.

i sometimes wish i could go back to the beginning of my time here and experience it all again. meeting and appreciating all those people i knew more. relishing in the moments i will never get back. all my friends from microbattles that i don't hear from anymore i wish i could have a conversation with again, because those people made a fairly miserable time in my life less miserable, and being able to forget about it all for a few hours in the evening meant a lot. some of the funniest, most intelligent people i have met on here and i hope they're all doing well.

running a server is hard, and i can't imagine the pressure to keep the numbers stable and the money flowing after they added featured servers. a fairly hostile and gatekeepy feature they put in place that spelled the doom for any server not on there. it's not fair. i applaud you for keeping it going that long, and it broke my heart watching the player count drop more each year, like im sure it did you. brokenlens deserved to thrive the same way those servers do. brokenlens could've been absolutely massive if given the chance. i'm sorry it had to end the way it did and im sorry to my polar bear pet that i will never come home to again.

there was a time where i always had at least 3 of my friends online at a time, and when i had gone on in recent months, no one was ever on. going through my friends list and seeing all those names that i hadn't spoken to in years at that point was incredibly bittersweet, but im glad that brokenlens allowed me to meet them in the first place. you built a wonderful thing and you should be proud.

Thank you brokenlens for the wonderful and beautiful times and unforgettable memories, I made many friends in brokenlens and I will never forget and will always remember the games I played in brokenlens like sky wars and mob wars I love the map of pride and pairs mario and modren and many more too,, Thank you for everything But unfortunately everything has an end and a beginning and I will remember you and see the brokenlens but I feel there will be an interview with the brokenlens again Who knows, thank you Vertx and the staff and the construction team you should be proud of yourselves because you built the brokenlens and meet the best server and also the best crew Work and vertx the best owner, thank you and bye all

You are right. I mean PixelParadise is boring after all and shouldn’t be a featured server.

brokenlens Please remove the band from me,, Not to play mainly this unfortunately is the end of the server only to be the last moments of brokenlens I will be unbanned and also I didn't do anything. Another account. I do not regret that. We hope to remove the ban on Abdalrahman65 and AbdAllaa_19990. Thank you, and we will never forget you. Please remove the band and not close the server.
And brokenlens its acronym is family, love and friendship and I thank everyone who helped in the evolution of brokenlens, and thank you very much, vertx, the work team, the construction team and the others. Thank you from the heart
And we want to remove the ban from us so that it will be the last moments in which we will not be banned. Thank you. I know that it is not the end.
