I had a huge memory on BrokenLens (Forums and Servers). I was a BrokenLens player since 2016 then I quit for the first time in 2017, then came back after 4 years as I got Java Edition and I saw Java was compatible was still in Beta so I decided to play on Java to let my memories bring back. I had a vote streak around 300+ in 2017 and then when I came back I decided to be back on my voting streaks and now I had around like 600+ votes (To keep BrokenLens on the top most voted list on the track). But one day I decided to quit again and decided leave the forums too not the Discord server... Because of school (Obviously). BrokenLens was one of most best server I had experienced it, it was very much fun but now I had a feel that, one day BrokenLens servers will shutdown (Dude that was a nightmare on my irl dream that I never expected a dream will become true). When I woke up in the morning and saw this on the official BrokenLens discord server, The End of The BrokenLens servers... Dude I was like whoa is this even true??

When I decided to come back on forums and saw this sad news.. This is absolutely true... No way... I really feel sad for this for now that it will come to an end.. I really gonna miss everyone on the server... I have staff friends and best friends.. We had a lot of fun on the past 4-5 years (Now 6 years) on our memories.. I hope we will never forget about this amazing server and forums.

Thanks Gab and the whole staff teams/members who worked for their great job to kept the server clean and friendly and for those who worked for the server builds and updates.

Well those are really some sad news for me and for all the players definitely, me who joined this server in 2017 and played in it for around 2 years this will be really painful despite I didnt play for 3 years now and I only joind again after that this month I made lots and lots of friends and millions of memories (great and epic ones really) brokenlens was the place I went to it when I'm sad mad happy for those two years he was like my home the place who can understand me and my feeling ,the place where I had so many emotions ,I'm really sad right now because I didn't ever thought something like this will happen and I really wish from my all hard a miracle will happen to stop it from closing and pls don't say permanently cause sth may happen so just say it will close for now

God damn.... If only this was April 1st, it would be the ultimate april fools prank.

i feel like a part of me left or something, like I lost someone, even though I havent been on for months while just scrolling through forums, this server meant a lot to me. Something about this server being closed forever just makes me sad. I was bored of minecraft and the featured servers, but brlns kept me going. The friends Ive met online here made me smile and laugh a lot. I felt like this was gonna happen in 2 years or something, I didn't expect it to be so sudden.

We all want you to keep running this server but at the same time, we all have to understand where you're coming from.

Vertx, you connected so many dots in peoples lives. Because of you there might have been a depressed person out there who was lost in life met a player in your server. They then chatted with each other and accepted each others friend requests. They then got each others discord - they talked to each other and eventually opened up and became great friends. Now that depressed person who couldve committed suicide is now happy and joyful in life knowing that he has friends that care for him. While you're dealing with stress trying to keep the server running, your players were smiling behind their screens, laughing, and having a good time. Your server will forever be in my cringey yt videos.

Thank you @ssunsett for unbanning me years ago(I bypassed without getting caught hehe) and buying me that one transfer ticket that made me change my name to Selp. Thank you VinniePillz for buying me an emerald rank, i cant believe you spent money on a lazy person like me, thank you @Muftii you made me laugh a lot and we got to open up to each other, Sorry i dont talk to you anymore, life just keeps changing my directions. Thank you Vertx, you made memories we will never forget, you started this story, and now that story is coming to an end.

On April 16th, lets all get on one last fking time boisssssss

Omg, I remember our meeting like it was yesterday! I won't talk very much because it will take 955959 hours to talk about you. Therefore, I will say that you are a wonderful friend who was able to greatly change my thinking and make me look at things differently.

This honestly breaks my heart into pieces, i remember joining this server back in 2020, and having few friends at that time, but as the time flies, i met wonderful friends along the way, and till this day i still manage to have a healthy friendship with them, the memories i had with this amazing server, i can never ever forget those wonderful and funny moments while spending my lifetime at BrokenLens, it’s an extremely heart breaking news, but it has to come to an end, for other people’s lives, we all have to move on and accept it, i hope each and one of us will accept and move on for the better future, it has come to an amazing era, I’ll miss BrokenLens :).

[ Keeping this short as possible ]

Feel bad for not noticing this message after me being inactive for awhile. Let’s appreciate the owner keeping the server up and running for several years despite the low number of sales. Maintaining a MC server isn’t easy I respect you 100%.

As the downfall of brokenlens approaches… it will be hard for me to replace this server after months playing here and supporting whatever I could. During the final week of brokenlens I will return to play Skywars as usual… without reporting hackers this time.

Maybe one day the server will rebuild once more and create a new image due to Brokenlens receiving bad reputation with non-stop hackers.

One more thing… why is it shutting down before my birthday… :unsure:

this honestly makes me really sad, but i have to say im not surprised. ive been playing since 2017 on many, many different accounts, and i remember this server and lifeboat just occupying all of my free time--it's the reason why i still play mc sometimes! it also helped me with my extreme boredom in quarantine, and im grateful i got to meet everyone i did. however, i just got bored after a while because of the lack of new gameplay and the games i loved getting removed, and im quite certain many others feel that way too. im hoping maybe mojang can promote or recognize brokenlens, but i dont think thats possible at this point. again, thanks for all the memories :two_hearts:

I feel so sad about this it was pretty much my whole childhood I was so happy to play it but then people left and it was boring to play alone.
But at least I remember the very good friends I made throughout this.

im so extremely sad the server is closing even though i knew it was coming. thank you gab for creating such a special place for so many people, you changed so many lives including mine. i know i havent had the best experience with some people but i love all of you. if this server would not have been created i would not have met my bestfriend @stellla and close friend @Dz81
i will never forget this place and will probably show my kids the pictures of my favorite memories. i hope to see everyone on the last day, -rubyyy_

This is incredibly sad, now I would go on a little long message talking about my time on brlns and how much it means to me and how I miss the olds days and people and such but I am also really lazy. So even though it doesn’t seem like I’m sad and heartbroken over this, I am. Brlns made my childhood and will have a place in my heart fr.

I'm sad, mad, and feeling things I can't describe, heck I don't even know what these feelings are.


this server was my safe place, back then. I joined in late 2019, and in 2020, during covid, I would play from 7 am to 10 pm or later. I felt like I was loved and I felt like I could enjoy life. everyone I've met, everyone I've lost. it was here. everyone I've ever been friends with here felt like family. and all of them quiting or just going missing was the most painful thing I've ever felt. and this server shutting down permanently is the most grief and pain I've felt in months.

this is it then, huh...

thank you for all the memories. the good and the bad.
