The Demon King
At around 500 B.C. there lived a kingdom that was ruled by a generous king and his beautiful queen. The queen, Monica, was pregnant. On the day the king, Ember V, returned from a war that was won, the queen had given birth to a beautiful boy. That boy was named Finn. The kingdom rejoiced that day, for they had won and the queen had given birth to the heir of the throne; however, little did they know that they were celebrating the birth of their end.
The kingdom was a sight to behold, for it was enveloped with celestial decoration, with trees planted all across the kingdom. As the years went by, Finn started growing up. From his childhood up to his sixteenth birthday, he was a polite boy. However, on his sixteenth birthday, a curse dawned upon him. He could not speak or move properly; it was almost as if he was possed by a demon. Two years passed by. Being the caring and nice lady she was, the queen tried to rectify his behaviour; however, she could not. He became progressively angrier. None of the doctors or witches was able to treat him.
One day, when his father asked him to join him to war, his eyes suddenly lit up, with the colour of blood. He murmured, "No, I will not. I would rather burn you and your kingdom down!" He tried to attack the king, his father. Thankfully, he could not. That was when the family finally conceded, and the king told his queen, "The hardest choices require the strongest will," before he locked his beloved son in a chamber. While he was being dragged to the chamber, he, with tears of blood in his eyes, shouted, "Father, it is not me! Don't lock me up! Please, I beg you!" He was shackled with the strongest of chains. The chamber was medieval, with no windows. It was lighted with only a few candles.
He realised that he had been rejected by his family for something that he had nothing to do about. He couldn't take this rejection. He kept screaming, but his efforts were to no avail, for no one would come to help such a demon. After five years, news came to his ears that the king had passed away. The wind howled in that night. At that moment, his body lit up with fire and he broke the shackles. He got out of the chamber and decided to murder everyone in his sight in cold blood.
He unleashed a blaze of anger and resentment, as he went on to burn every single living being in the kingdom, except his mother. Horrified and scared for her life, the queen begged him to stop. Finn did stop, but after burning the entire kingdom down. He had left his mother as the sole survivor and escaped into the nearby forest. There still exists rumours of him being alive.
