The Bow Problem

Let's get straight to the point.

Bows with the power enchantment are overpowered and need to be removed.
Just one shot from a power I bow will deal up to 6 hearts of damage. (with armor!). You'd be finished in only two shots. PE players hurt the most from this issue, since it takes longer for them to eat food.

Let me show you some examples my buddy helped me make.

These videos show that the maximum damage you can take is 8.5 hearts. It doesn't help that the power II bow costs 22 diamonds, which means you can get one in the first minute if you rush to middle. And some of these bows have INFINITY. An infinite 2 shotter, nice.

Thankfully infinite power II bows were removed, but it still didn't get rid of the problem. Arrows are very cheap, which means that players can still 2 shot people with max armor as much as they want.

There was one game I was in where a team of 4 had all rushed the diamond generators and middle simultaneously, which allowed all 4 to acquire power II bows. They then proceeded to camp the middle, 2 shotting any opponent who attempted to go to the middle. Literally, every team was trapped and starved of resources, while they were getting stronger every second. It was impossible to stop them!

People who abuse these weapons are everywhere. If you want to improve this game, then please, remove the power enchantment.

He's right bop. Bows are so op, either they should remove the very powerful ones or just nerf the current ones. I know you like bows, but bow camping with an amazing and way too op bow annoys the heck out of the rest of us.

i’m someone who relies on bows to fight PC or controller players since it’s fair for both of us since pc and pe shoot at the same rate. it’s honestly the only thing fair about the pvp in this game :/

Bows are way too OP lol. Arrows need to be more expensive in general by a long term so bows aren't spammable. Also bow DMG should be nerfed too. Bows were balanced for games like skywars, where if u get hit it isn't too bad. Add enchantments to normal bows which are balanced, and they become super OP.
Bows are one of the 4 main reasons I dislike MW. The others are obsidian, inconsistent maps with way too different playstyles (construction is somehow too aggressive even for Me, and Japan and Spell u could block entrance to mob with only a few obsidian) and teammates.

Eh Bows are gonna get nerfed no matter what you say. There is like 10 or more threads advocating for bow nerf. It's just a matter of time. Plus MW is new, so changes are likely to come to it compared to other mini games. I can understand It's a big oof moment, and it sucks to get stuff you like nerfed, but that's the risk with using OP strategies.

Bruh PC and win10 are nerfed so don't complain if u lose without a bow to win10.

they should be nerfed anyways, clicks register too quickly, that’s why the actual PC version has PVP restrictions. mouse clicks vs tapping is unfair in itself. Also, bows aren’t the end all be all. you can dodge arrows, i do it all the time. what’s the point of paying all those diamonds for a bow that won’t work. do you guys want a bow that does 1 heart of damage every time? lol

Default bows full charged do like 3 damage at least without armor. Yes, they can heals after, but they are wasting food. Plus do you even know what the win10 nerf does??? It literally makes you do less damage for clicking too fast, so players are equal, so shut up and stop complaining about win10, and if you aren't good at melee, then you aren't good at melee, there simple. I am IOS but I hate it when people say stupid stuff about how versions have advantages over others. The only thing PC has over mobile melee fight is that pyro kit's fire power is better with PC. And kits aren't even in mobwars!!

Yeah, but then aggression can't be taken against another team's mob if everyone bowspammed. Like, why be aggressive if you are gonna lose. Aggressive play is way more skill based too. Plus melee fighting is way more skill based than bowspam. The only combat more skill based than melee is end crystal combat, which isn't even on the server, and less than 1% of all minecraft players have done it.

Bows might be essential for default MC but not essential for PVP. Just because something is essential doesn't mean that it has the right to be OP and ruin game quality. Bow damage is different on BrokenLens due to how Vertx changed it.

I don't know, something worse than it currently is?!?! You think I need to calculate damage exactly to know bows are OP??? You really think I'm some idiot?? I dont care how much damage as long as It's balanced. Seriously you just hoard loot and think you deserve some cool super overpowered weapon that doesn't require any PVP to get because of it don't you.

yes, bows do more damage than diamond swords in regular PvP, but in BRLNS the damage system is completely different. The damage in BRLNS is reduced significantly, but power bows seem to be left out in this nerf. I don't think swords that do 1 heart a hit and a bow that kills you almost instantly is very balanced.
