my phone thats older then my ipad charges quicker. ipad:41% phone:63% ipad started charging at 38% after the phone. i was charging ipad earlier didnt go up. started charging phone right after from 0%. i guess phones rule over ipads

I think that’s partially because the battery is older so it has less capacity

My iPod is younger than my iPad by a year yet the iPod charges faster
One time I checked on the iPod 10 minutes after charging it at 20% and it was already at 60%
My iPad on the other hand, takes 15-20 minutes of peace to get to 40-50%
I just thought it mattered on the size of the device xD

That too.
Larger devices tend to have larger batteries, hence a longer charge time

The battery thing strel is possibly the reason. My iphone wasn't charging properly, and it turned out to be that it had very low capacity. Try replacing the battery and see if that helps. However, if something is wrong with the charging (like when you plug it in it won't charge) then something might be wrong with the charger port, which is a device failure. Now that is hard to fix.
