well isnt making hills and floating islands kinda the same procedure?Whatever im trying to make i just use the sand method so idk.Expect in some cases that i just use the cyl brush to make the terrain

welp isn't that unique for tbb to have its first 3d map :p I personally really like this map xD and I think you did a really good job!

I made that map for tbb, the backgrounds is 3D , builded by : Me, Complexsanta and lucas.., but the map has been discontinued
