Tales From the Front: The Empty Wermacht (Historical Fiction) (English)
Engines and Gears switching in the cold and muddy terrain. A German armored Tank Tiger company traverses through the rough fields. They spotted a bunkered tank platoon. Unit 3434 was ordered to fire.
Commander: "Gunner Heat tank!"
Gunner: "Identified"
Commander: "Fire"
Gunner: "On the way!"
The shell erupted from it's turret. A blaze soon followed. It missed. The tank platoon fought back.
Unit 1627 of the German Tank Company was knocked out killing all crewmen. Unit 157 was derailed and unit 3434 was caught on fire.
Commander: "Put the Damn fire out Kreschel!"
Commander: "Those are fireflies! Pull bac-"
A shell hit 3434's hull and flames burst out of its chassis. Soon, enemy fighter planes emerged from the clouds. Though the weather was rough, they commenced a bombing run.
The Tiger Armament in a twist of irony was decimated. The very few managed to escape.
Units Destroyed:
Unit: 5654
Unit: 3434
Unit:1028
Unit:1526
Unit: 157
Unit: 1627
Unknown date
Bunkers and encampments were littered around the area. Artillery and anti air batteries were everywhere. It was a nightmare for the soldiers. The Luffwafe made a strafing run. Bullets, everywhere. One man got both of his eyes dangling from his face. But still. They got it. It was filled with scraps of metal and concrete.
But they hear mechanical engines. Where could it be? They already captured the place. Four tiger tanks went through the fog of war. They immediately opened fire. The invaders, out of confusion, dug in the bunkers. A Firefly shot one tiger tank. But it refused to die even with flames inside of it. One tiger tank has it's threads loose but is still function. Others were filled with holes. They kept firing and firing and firing. Soon, the invaders called in air support to dispatch them. It worked and the tanks ceased to move. They identified it as 3434 the one who has flames everywhere, 157 the one who was derailed, 1627 and 1526.
After the capture of Berlin. They recovered classified information from the Germans. What they found was astonishing and scary. The tanks the soldiers once encountered were destroyed by an air strike with same reports. Both having no crewmen other than their belongings. They called it
