The reason I'm posting this thread in the OITC section is because TagHunters is the team version of OITC.
So, I think that by now, almost everyone knows that OITC has become corrupted. There are bow spammers, targetters, teamers, hiders, etc everywhere. It's obvious that, unless you are a pvp god, one of the above, or just plain lucky, it is almost impossible to win the game through legit gameplay.
I decided to stop playing OITC, because who the hell wants to become one with one of the most toxic communities ever? I went to the hub and tried out a couple games. I also noticed a masive drop in the QuakeCraft players while looking for a game.
Literally only 7 players were playing! I was beyond surprised. I have a favor to ask of the good ol' Quake players—could you possibly try reviving Quake? Because I'm no good at it and have other things to do, like trying not to go off-topic with this.
Anyway, after a few games, I decided to try TagHunters. It was, after all, the team version of OITC, and I still wanted to play some of my old favourite game. Of course, this is the team version. It has teams. But that doesn't matter, 'cause I got some of my own awesome teammates to back me up this time, and I don't have to feel any guilt at teaming.
Now, considering it's the team version of OITC, I expected a similar inventory setup. Well, screw that. You only have an iron sword. That's literally it. I actually saw this as a good thing. It meant no bow spamming, which was the best feature of this which I've found yet. I played a few games. It's actually an extremely easy and enjoyable game. Much more enjoyable than OITC.
The aim of the game is to collect 30 "dog tags". These tags are dropped by players when you kill them. A simple process that's easy to grasp. The first team that collects 30 dog tags wins. But it's not that easy. The tags drop on the ground, ready for anyone to pick up. You could've gotten the kill, but someone else could've gotten the tag.
It was an amazing game. I found it a wonder that there were barely 150 - 200 players playing. If you are an OITC player who has become fed up of OITC, I challenge you to try TagHunters. It is an amazing team immitation of OITC, and it is a LOT less toxic.
Thank you for reading this whole thing. I hope to see you on TagHunters some times in the future. Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't. But at least give it a try.
IF YOU SEE THIS, COMMENT "UNICORNS".
