Minecraft isnt meant for building.-.
You can do everything you want.People tryied out many things and thats why it had evolved in many different ways.If you want a meaning for minecraft then the best would be : do everything you want!Building was not the first way btw.At the first release of minecraft there was only a survival mode so the first thing that people did was surviving.PvP has started when the first servers came.It is the most famous thing in minecraft now.But there is no reason to hate what other people like.If you have more fun at building then build and dont listen to other people.But dont insult them back.It will turn into an useless argue.

its not that i dont like TBB(or building), its the people and they way they vote in TBB that i dont like
they vote awesome on their friends builds and terrible on evry1 elses, then there are a few people like me who try and vote fairly
and secondly, my building style just doesnt work well in TBB

Minecraft isn't just for building. It was supposed to be a building game, but creative players started something unexpected from other players. They built maps, creative mode(when beta ._. Mc has no creative mode yet on those days so they created a plugin), minigames(A GAME INSIDE A MINIGAME! MIND BLOWN). If you don't want creative people on minecraft to build something awesome abd suprising, survival mode?

Also, minecraft would be DEAD if these players didn't invent something in this game with it's own resources
